Beautiful little purple tomatoes!
I’m so lucky to have found this amazing lady, who is so wise about chickens, and I will follow her advice and mark my eggs right away. I am looking forward to more information from this amazing woman,
When in doubt...rub a hen on it!! I just love ya Patara. 😀😀

Exactly what I was looking for. Thank you!
Thanks Patara, trying the incubator right now with 30 eggs between my flock and my girl friends flock. I'll let you know our success on 2/14/22. Valentine's babies. 💞
Brrr it looks cold in Appalachia hills today, thanks Patera for sharing info on chickens. Blessings
That ways to cool to know what there was last night to find one extra today. But see how things change so fast .you always say things change and have to be ready to dwal with what comes up. Thanks for video
LOL! Rub a HEN on it! Good one. I use a marker too.
Good to know--thanks! That little face you drew!!
I love your videos. I love your happy attitude. Thanks for the laughs. you are so great.
I enjoy all your videos you're just wonderful and you get to the point you're very knowledgeable about what you're doing that's why I appreciate you
Sweet Mama!
👍 like that statement. We can disagree without being disagreeable. You rock.
Don't apologize to people who don't know anything. Do what works for you.
We used to mark an X or a very BIG Dot on the end of the eggs with the big permanent markers. I don’t think we had ‘Sharpies’ then. My grandma had great chickens. I remember trading eggs, chicks/chickens, milk and such for other things or services we needed. I remember my grandpa trading a nice bull for a tractor. 😂
Girl I LOVE your videos and your sense of humor!! Thanks for the tip on marking eggs. :)
Great idea 👍😊
Does anybody out there know where the homestead is....every time I watch a video I wonder that because the scenery is so beautiful ...I just love this gal...love listening to her ...she's so down to earth and so informative..she is so smart..really enjoy listening to her! :)
I hear it all the time with our bees how were doing it wrong! This is usually from someone new who found out from the internet.. its nice being our age where we seem to value older people with more real life experience!
Isn't there a Hitchcock movie called The Birds 😂
The sequel..."The Hens"
lol!
Hi Patara, I like so much your videos. God blesses you!
Last week I found a mama hen with 19 babies it looks like she was sitting on 21 eggs. The nest was hidden as we free range in the forest. today I found another hen sitting on a clutch of eggs but this hen is in the chicken coop. Should I move her to a secure place? Or should I just leave her to sit on the eggs? Please help me figure this out.
Well that sounds like a great idea using permanent marker for your eggs cuz like you said if she turns them and then it fades away that makes sense to use permanent marker on them. I'll use that suggestion with mine thank you very much and have a blessed day
😆😆rub a chicken on your counter... 🐔🐔🐔🐥🐥🐥🐤🐤🐣attack of the chickens.🐔🐔🐓🐓🐓🐥🐥🐤🐤🐣🐥🐥🐥🐓🐓🐓🐔🐔
Have a beautiful day 🌻🌻🌻
Morning patara🐣🐥🐤
Loved the video. Are those Cherokee purple tomatoes behind you?
I’ve got my first broody hen and am so excited I found this video!! My problem now, is that there are a couple more under her today than the other day! Any tips on what I should do as I didn’t think to mark them and I don’t know which ones are new?! P.S. don’t mind my username. My son “took over” my RUclips 😉
You’re right pencil does not last
Exactly!
Good morning lady....❤❤❣
What breed is she?
👋😃
