This is such a wonderful pattern. Thank you for sharing it. I'm using regular Red Heart (medium 4) yarn, not chunky, and a much smaller hook (4.25) to create a pillow for my living room. I love that the pattern is tight so that the pillow form can't be seen through the pattern and it will keep it's shape well.

I love this pattern! Easy enough for a beginner like me, but looks more interesting than a basic stitch! I love your videos, always easy to follow! Thank you!

Okay, this is a beautiful pillow cover, I love the stitch, and the color but this is NOT A BEGINNERS VIDEO or PATTERN, for this to be for a beginner you need to explain a little more the stitch you’re making and the transitions from row to row which you kept cutting off. Like, at the end of the row, do you chain ONE or TWO before turning. You start with chains 32 but you have 31 stitches per rows. That’s something a beginner might be wondering why.
It’s a great video nonetheless, I just wouldn’t make a beginner watch it because, while I’ve moved from beginner to intermediate now, it would still cause a lot of questions. Thank you

I followed this video exactly, counted every stitch, chain turn, but everytime it gets thinner at the top and I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong ☹️

There is a tutorial in here on how to align your crochet and it’s really helpful. I just forgot the name of it. Search it up and it will work well.

BEAUTIFUL!!! The pattern and tutorial seem to be easy enough to follow and understand; thank you so much! I’ve been searching for the “right” pillow and this is it, at last! I will probably end up naming far too many in several colors, but I can’t help it, lol; I really like your “extended single” - I can’t wait to get my yarn and get started! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! ☺️🫶🏻🧶 hugs from freezing temps Ohio! 🥶 Lisa

Warning to others than her extended single crochet is not the standard found online. Online it starts as a normal single crochet but then you pull through the first loop, yarn over, and then finish the crochet. Will be trying her method next to since i like the pattern more

You just single crochet normal to the second ch but you don’t go through all 2 loop but you go single crochet on the same single crochet that you did but the bottom of it and then you go through all 3 loop

I know the pattern and the stitches are easy. I count my stitches but continuously have one side that is not straight. Any other suggestions on what I might be doing wrong ? I have restarted this project too many times to count. #helpafriendout

Go back and watch how she starts the begging of each row and at the end of each row. That’s what determines the shape. Also ALWAYS count your stitches. Use a stitch marker after you make the first stitch in every row. That way you won’t lose your place and know where to count stitches from.

  • @TaylorssAmazingg

Can someone help me? I’ve taken this out SO MANY TIMES. My ends keep not being straight. One side is too long and then other one is too short. Her video shows her chaining 1 after each row, but her written tutorial says to chain 1 after the sc only. I can’t figure out which one I should be doing and what I am doing wrong here. Whenever I count 31, there’s usually another stitch that is in my row that I feel needs to be stitched. Idk. This is not a beginner video at all.

    • @krushibhakta6895
      @krushibhakta6895 3 месяца назад

Honestly the video and pattern is so confusing lol. Did you end up making it?
I am chaining one on each side and so far it’s been ok. I followed everything so damn clearly but I ended up with 32 stitches rather than 31. Or I ended up with 30. I’m honestly winging it as I go and that’s what I recommend doing lol. She says to do sc on the second chain but when I do that it makes that row shorter but I’ve been shoving in an esc at the end to make it even. I only have like two three inches done so far so let’s see 💀😭

You should clarify both in the video and the written pattern when to chain one. It isn't clear. I've been trying this pattern for days and just by following your instructions, it tends to add stitches on one side.

    Pattern:
    Ch32
R1: second chain from hook, sc to end of row.
I edit it when I am up to that part

I think that a blanket would be very thick with this stitch, if that’s the look you’re going for, go for it! ☺️

I’m also a beginner and I think it is doable as long as you look up how specific videos for how to do the single crochet stitch. But don’t look up videos for extended single crochet a because they’re totally different than what she shows

When getting done with the first panel do you tie a knot or just leave the loop? I see that you left a loop on one of the panels which I’m assuming is the second one you made.

    • @CJDesignblog

Yes, first one you fasten off, second one you don’t so you can use the same yarn to join around
