This goes to show just how crucial it is to stay active in our children's lives. We can do EVERYTHING to protect our children but as soon as they're off in the world, at school or camp, who knows what other parents are teaching (or lack thereof) their kids and how it'll reflect on my child.

Perhaps God is reminding us that sin can still be punished with a rock. Well, at least he’s in a better place now. God works in mysterious ways that’s for sure - I guess that it’s just beyond our ability to comprehend why he had to die that we may live - May Jesus comfort him and his family now that his children may grow to learn God’s almighty love!

Imagine, obviously little or no parental supervision and likely not their first criminal behavior. Just because you weren't the one that tossed it, perhaps you were goaded by the other 4, peer pressure, into doing it! If you were there and you knew what was happening and you didn't step up and stop it, instead doing nothing, you became by default as guilty as the thrower.

This has been going on for years and surprised that it's not required for overpasses to either be prohibited to pedestrians or completely enclosed. In 1994 in Jersey City, NJ, a 19 yr old threw a 16 lb bowling ball down a depressed highway, missing a mother in the front seat but killing her 8 month old baby sitting in the back. It doesn't have to be a big object to do major damage either.

Saucy Hoes oh so throwing a 6 pound rock at a vehicle going 80 m/ph wasn't going to end badly? If it hit a driver he would have crashed and more people would have died. They knew damn well what was going to happen. And you know what I've thrown rocks but I always made sure they where tiny so they didn't hurt anyone.
FYI some people don't get a childhood. Some people have to grow up fast to help mom and dad with bills. So don't mock people who didn't have a childhood. We didn't get to choose the life we had to live.

As a parent, I honestly don’t think I’d even entertain the idea of a lawyer for my own kids if they did this. I failed, as a parent to instill proper human decency in them, and if this is the product that came from my home? Throw that key away. I don’t want him in my home or around my family where he could turn on my own family. I can’t say I won’t, in later years miss him or possibly regret it but, I could not stand by as a mother and be able to try and defend the actions of this. It’s just so insane to me.

It's dark, the cars are driving over 70 miles an hour and those brats didn't think they'd hurt someone with a big rock? I don't think so. There are consequences to things and they have to face the fact that they made the wrong choice that night when they tossed that rock down on that car. If you are over the age of 12 you know exactly what you are doing - and if you don't then you're pretty stupid. Actions do have consequences. When I was in high school I used to hate the way some of the kids acted - just like this thinking they were so funny and cute and could get away with anything. Being a bully and hurting people is not attractive.
