This is my soundproofing project on my VW Golf 6. I used the same materials on the ceiling (not filmed, but it's the same process), and I'll use it also on the door.
STP GB 2mm is a vibro absorbant, and the black polimer/sponge is sound absorbant and together works to reduce external noise and also provide a better heat/cold insulation
