    Do you guys buy any specific fixed interest products on CommSec? XTBs? AGBs? Fixed interest ETFs?

      I find ETFs are useful because there is a decent amount of trading liquidity around them.

    What investment strategy you would recommend going forward in the current uncertain volatile global financial market scenario ? Appreciate if you could make a video. It would be helpful to many investors

    Great video especially about the Aussie market and caveat about individual bonds! Could you make a video on evaluating bond ETFs? As bond ETF prices have fallen ~3.5%% YTD.

    Good evening. Me and family have some doubts about govt bonds. What is govt bond maturity time and interest returns? And which is the best? Is govt or corporate bonds? Is disability pentioner can invest in bonds for their retirment support? And is investing in bonds are best ? Or buy a plot ? Buy Small home? and pay council fee , insurance fee, property management cost, which is peaceful?

    How do we know the issue price for a bond?
    When the bond matures do we get the issue price or the market/trading price?

    • @SanjeeSen
      @SanjeeSen  3 года назад

      Hi Karan, the issue price can usually be found in the initial documentation for the bond. Usually for Australian government bonds its $100. But I believe it's different for corporate bonds. You'll get the issue price when it matures.

    • @ssharma1876
      @ssharma1876 3 года назад

      You get the face value price which is usually $100.

    Hi Sanjee - Great video. Thanks. Have you made any videos on where to invest if you have say, $1m, and to invest this for the long term (say retirement) but want to reduce your risk to very low? Would bonds be the best way to go. As you know, term deposits are safe but interest is peanuts? Keen to hear your thoughts? Thanks

    Hi sanjee great video.. do you think one should have a BOND etf in a equity portfolio as a hedge against volatility .. I feel if you are investing for a long term (15 plus years ) ie for growth then bonds or bond etf doesn't make sense .. I have been thinking a lot about this and not getting anywhere ..

    • @SanjeeSen
      @SanjeeSen  3 года назад +2

      Yeah great question here! I've been thinking about this too. I recently closed my position in VGB and redeployed the money into a normal shares ETFs like VGS. Yeah the longterm nature of bond investing doesn't seem as attractive these days because there isn't much yield and there isn't much room for additional price growth. Personally I've decided to just hold cash as a hedge against volatility (as part of my emergency fund) and not necessarily invest in fixed income ETFs. This obviously just my thoughts and you should seek proper advice :)

    Hi @sanjee Sen thanks for the video. Do you have an excel sheet that helps calculate investment returns via bonds? Mainly something that you can use to determine how much extra per week you could invest and the payoff. Thanks again.

    Can you please provide some commentary on the level of analysis the other Aussie finance RUclipsrs are doing? I saw some of them, but they didn't really make much sense? I watched a few Aussie Wealth Creation videos, but some of his videos seemed factually incorrect. It seems like he also needs braces

    • @SanjeeSen
      @SanjeeSen  4 года назад +1

      Thanks for watching nerdtingles. I haven't really watched Aussie Wealth Creation's content. I think something to consider is: all content on RUclips should be considered as a starting point for further investigation by either yourself or a registered finance professional before you take action on it. Thanks again for watching!
