To be clear, I stated "somewhat disagree".
I didn't say fathers or mothers can be replaced. My comment to the OP was meant to convey that having a mother in a child's life is just as important as having a father.
To second commenter, yes, I was raised with both parents. They both worked full time jobs and did their best to raise us. Difference between the two, and reason for my comment, was that after work my father came home, drank beer and watched TV. My mother on the other hand, came home, cooked dinner for the family, helped us with our schoolwork, attended parent-teacher conferences, drove us to practices, took us to doctor/dentist appointments, etc. Discipline was done by my mother; father didn't want to be bothered by it. My father's sole responsibility, in his eyes, was to make sure we had a roof over our heads and food on the table, which he did and I'm grateful to him for that. But everything else was my mother's job. She was involved in our lives growing up. Yes, both my father and mother were present, and grateful to both, but my mother is the one that truly raised us.

I believe so too, which, to be honest, is bullshit. Being on the spectrum doesn’t absolve you of any responsibility for your words and/or actions. Plenty of people on the spectrum, and on the same spot on the spectrum as the cashier in this video, are successful at customer service jobs. They may seem awkward to people but they are not making comments like this guy made. He’s a rude, mean-spirited pervert… and if he is on the spectrum, one doesn’t cancel the other out. Fire his ass. The fact that the cashier couldn't even take responsibility over what came outta his own mouth by saying, "I'm sorry you feel that way" and then lying by saying that he did apologize when he did NOT in fact apologize or offer any type of remorse for his statement or actions, is absolutely disgusting. The cashier just showed the world just how much of a narcissist he truly is. I feel so bad for the father's family to have to go through that just because people act like they dont have any sense.

“Trained properly”? What do you think they’re supposed to do, give their employees therapy and psych evaluations?? No, attitude and personality are the responsibility of the individual. Retail stores give ethics training, but they can’t change a person’s attitude. We’re not talking about the military where they train people to kill and thus need better management of their personality.

This is literally bullying from the cashier's side. Those little girls will remember his words and will be embarrassed of buying pads in the shop, trying to hide their products from everybody's eyes. Where is this need of being cruel coming from? These words can embarrass even a grown up woman. Why usually good people end up in therapy because of those who really need therapy?
