@@goncaloribeiro8699 the author designed Muzan after MJ, but he never admitted to doing so during any interview for Demon Slayer. He said off-hand elsewhere not related to Demon Slayer that he had been an ardent fan of MJ's works in the 80s to 90s, especially Smooth Criminal. So we get to put two and two together like detective work.

Vitiligo affect the skin sensitiveness and cannot withstand the sunlight because lacks of melanin pigmen (skin color become very white). Lack of melanin can cause skin cancer if too much hit by sunlight. Same principle with demon weakness to the sun, their skin will burn if hit by sunlight.
