He is not ant vaccine, he says many times they were needed and helpful for the first two waves. He does question the long term side effects of the vaccines as we all should. It's not anti vaccine or anti science to question this. He asks for more data and open access from the government and pharmaceutical companies. That's what I get out of his videos anyway.

A lot of the medical/scientific community seem a bit biased, they'll jump at any claim stating the possibility of the vaccines being unsafe. They want to follow the "scientific consensus", but often fail to realize that the scientific consensus can be (and has often been) wrong.
I just wish I could express this simple idea to people outside of our community, science isn't always correct, but it's way too hard.

I've watched a lot of Campbell's videos, and he was always pro vax. He has shifted more recently to reflect the fact that the new strains are less deadly. Now it is of little benefit for most people to be repeatedly boosted, especially if they have natural immunity. Sure Campbell makes some honest mistakes, but he does not purposefully deceive his audience. This video is an unfair attack upon Campbell, and is no more than a small man, chopping down a tall tree, so he can stand on its stump to raise his stature.

"reviewing" and "explaining" published data and medical studies does not mean you *correctly* review and explain them. If you then also cherry pick what to show (and promote), while leaving out other stuff and thrashing it, even though it clearly is much higher quality, he's doing pseudoscience.
For example, when he uses public data to argue that we may be overcounting COVID deaths by a factor 7, 8, or 9, just because some 80-90% of COVID deaths had pre-existing conditions, he's misrepresenting reality. He is in essence arguing that someone who has cancer who dies in a car crash, died because of the cancer, and not the car crash.

Information we all need to know:
I was Army medic and studied immunology too. When you have natural protection your body produces 20-30 variant antibodies.
If you have a vaccine for the same disease it suppresses your natural immunity . And can weaken it. A vaccine is very specific and often only includes part of a pathogen. Hence why vaccinated people keep getting it over and over (no or limited variant antibodies).
For example- I was at hospital a few weeks ago. I said to the consultant that she didn't need to wear a mask as my anti body levels are 18.5 times higher than necessary immunity levels (in Portugal they give immunity levels and what your levels are).
She said, "Well I had antibodies but still got it "
I said, "Then you clearly had it asymptomatically but then got vaccinated which would have weakened your immunity. That's why you got it again"
She replied- "Yes, I suppose you are right". She knew what I was taking about.
No other diseases have they said you need a vaccine after getting it- only with this did they start this bullshit.
I love talking to doctors because, once reminded of the science, they wake up from their hypnotised state.
Even when I went to get my antibody test, a year after having it, the doctors said, "Take this to see 'IF' you have antibodies".
I quickly retorted "Doc, you know as well as I do that, if I didn't, I'd still be ill!" .
This woke him up from the hypnotism of media repetition, and he said- "Oh yes! Of course!".
The experts that know this have been kept away from us and not interviewed by MSM.
Think about it - tens of thousands of NHS doctors still hadn't been vaccinated but none were interviewed.
The only reason Dr James was is because he intercepted a live interview
70,000 doctors in the USA formed an organisation against what they saw was a scam but Google took their website down .
80,000 did the same in the EU. Again the media silenced them.
Why have we never heard why they did that - from them?
Most nurses and doctors are too scared to speak out.
Like NAZI Germany we are told not to listen to them. Like the 1940s Germans- Are we really fully informed if we only hear everything explained via the governing authority?

Actually, the comment you make shows how well this video has aged, as Campbell mindlessly jumped on the misinformation bandwagon.
Did Pfizer test transmission? No, and that was never claimed by Pfizer or any health authorities. The evidence that it reduced transmission came from numerous studies afterwards. Of course, part of the "save others" was the fact that reduced healthcare burden saves people who would otherwise not have access to healthcare.
So, Derrek, do tell, why are you so gullible when you are fed such obvious misinformation by Campbell? Why do you blindly believe him, when ALL the evidence points to Campbell misrepresenting reality?

You know his degree is a PhD, not an MD, right? Just making sure... You could find many doctors of that sort communicating with the public at your local university. While his PhD in nursing education does qualify him to discuss many topics related to medicine, it doesn't mean he's a physician nor does it make him a researcher. For all that he does present actual real research on his channel, it's not always clear he understands it. Worse... It's quite clear his audience often doesn't understand, uses his presentation to affirm their pre-existing views, and he is either indifferent or oblivious to that fact.

I don't think it makes him an antivaxer just because he's included certain people in his videos etc, on the contrary as he's fully vaccinated himself this is a good indicator that he is not an antivaxer. His videos allow people to see how the rest of the world is dealing with the covid situation and has actually given viewer's the opportunity to share their own personal stories in the comments section. He has not discriminated between the vaccinated and unvaccinated he has given everyone the opportunity to share their own opinions and views. John has provided lots of data and has had some very knowledgeable interesting people on his videos. It doesn't surprise me at all that some people are trying to discredit him and his videos as we see this in much of today's "do not question anything" society, and I have never heard of a vaccinated antivaxer? If more data had been made public allowing transparency then perhaps some people wouldn't be so skeptical, I'd say John has given many people peace of mind and tried to provide the data that others should of.

"If more data had been made public allowing transparency then perhaps some people wouldn't be so skeptical"
Right. What "more data" would you want to be made public? And who do you think it would convince to be less skeptical? We have LOADS of data public, and it is often weaponized - including by Campbell himself - to spread misinformation. I'll give a very obvious example of such misinformation of public data: most people who died from COVID had pre-existing conditions. This is to be expected for almost ANY infectious disease, and even more so if especially the elderly die from such a disease. After all, most elderly have some pre-existing condition. Campbell reported on this, in a very factual way, in April 2020. Almost two years later, that *same* information of most people dying of COVID having pre-existing conditions had become a HUGE revelation and a BIG story, and, according to Campbell, could mean we are overcounting COVID deaths by a factor 7, 8, or 9.
Tell me what happened between April 2020 and, ca., January 2022 that made the SAME information go from more or less as expected to a HUGE revelation and a BIG story.

Wow how much did they pay you to do this one? Dont veer too far away from "the science"(aka what pharmaceutical ads say). John Campbell provides the data and leaves a fair and unbiased perspective. Funny that your video here comes around the same time that the Thai report for adolescent vaccinations came out and he started digging into excess death rates internationally.......

given the move to no longer authorize vaccines for under 50s in the UK, isn't it about time to retract the unfounded attacks on campbell for arguing for a more risk assessed version of vaccine policy.

Interesting that your video channel is monetized, whereas John Campbell's is not - despite him having 3.6 million subscribers - he could make a heck of a lot of money if he chose to. That tells me a lot about his integrity and your (lack of) integrity.

As you can see from the comment section, trying to discredit someone like Dr Campbell, even though it can help you generate a hundred bucks worth of views (which seems to be your primary objective), might cause people to start doubting you, your motives, and your own credibility, especially if you don't offer a solid proof to back up your claims.

What I can see from the comment section a concerted attempt from the pro Campbell's team of cronies to diss Dr Dan's robust corrections of Campbell's misleading videos. It was by seeing Campbell's blatant screwing up of science papers that led me to Debunk the Funk in the first place. I did have a Science heavy education so could tell who was presenting the truth, and it is not Campbell. Also the people he has attached himself to are a collection of clowns in the extreme. Not one with any integrity.

Since you have brought money into it, the one who has noticeably gained wealth from his videos is indeed Campbell. A hundred bucks is nothing compared to the sums Campbell has accrued, all noted on publicly accessible Companies House. Going from his useful and worthy teaching videos into anti vax mode coincided with huge boost of income.
