Anyone else notice when they were talking about the on/off trampoline, they added actual on/off blocks for 3D World too
Idk why they mentioned the trampoline and not the on/off blocks, like I think they don’t want people to notice they weren’t in the game before for no reason

Imagine the troll levels that can be made now because of this massive update, even in the 3D World style too! And imagine an entire troll WORLD!
3D World now has Dotted Line Blocks. And the ! Block method of transferring items exists to substitute tracks.

The coolest thing is, that you can actually make 1Ups important when you create a Super Mario Maker World.
I mean,they WERE important in endless mode but now it's ENDLESSLY better!
This is basically Nintendo's way of bringing back SMM1's Mario Challenge. It's infinitely better.

i was thinking: with the boomerang powerup it could most likelyhave something drop from the skies or something when it comes back to you and triggers something (like a pow block)
I think the on off trampoline is gonna be a fun way to CP1 people if you can hide it

I could see them adding things like ninji speedruns without it being "major", but we are probably screwed on an entire new game mode and such.

Except for cohesiveness between some of the new items, it makes the game feel a bit unfinished (eg. Twisters in claws).

Interesting thing pointed out to me on a Discord server I’m on is that on/off blocks have been added to 3D World, which you can see during the on/off trampoline section! This update looks so sick, can’t wait to make my own worlds!

WAIT. If you listen closely, they say “we are going to be releasing the last major update SOON.” I assume that they are saying that there will be one more, that or bad use of grammar.
So there is still one more update? So maybe Ice Flower, Mini Mushroom, secret areas within walls, Charging Chucks, Sparkys, Dolphins, and Reznor are still possible.

I know some have probably noticed but I just wanna say that the lights on the red POW block hat turn off one by one every time you use it. So the block only has P in the POW lit when you only have one use left. Awesome detail they added!
I had a dream where nintendo added the penguin suit, Nintendo's directs feel Like the biggest gift under the Christmas tree because it gives you a tense feeling

Yeah, I noticed this too, it was such an odd omission. Super cool to see them, surprising that they didn't highlight it, so maybe there are some other minor changes too!

Personally, I think a good “small” update that they can add would be a collab mode. Plus, this was only the last *major* update. I think doing a collab is pretty annoying, speaking of the fact that other people need to build on the same copy of Mario Maker 2. It’s really irritating. I would love a way to send unfinished levels to other people you want to collab with privately through the platform. Maybe receiving it could come up in your ingame notifications. Also, when the level would be uploaded publicly, it would show all the names of the makers that built in it.

Ive never actually played neither mario maker but this has made me want to actually try this game out. The reaction is also, finally here.
If you notice when they're showing the different overworld styles, when they show the "outer space" theme, all the levels are airship icons, but only the middle one has a Bowser Jr. face on the front of the ship. That wasn't in the list of level icons at the beginning. And when they're talking about playing other peoples' worlds in Course World, the example world they show has a couple of Ninjis on some level icons. I think there's even more to the World Maker than they mentioned! :)
After reviewing the video, I’ve noticed that in world maker, you can do multiplayer. I also noticed that on/off blocks are now in 3D world and that wasn’t in the original. So I’m excited for this update!
Last night when I got the notification from Nintendo, I was so happy. When it got to the Koopalings, I started crying through the whole thing.
I was somehow more excited about this than the actual game's release. But now that we have almost everything we've wanted, we don't really need anything else (apart from an extra game style uwu)
I was making a troll level for you but now this update is here I won't be including any of the new parts because it's almost finished ;-;
I think it's not the "final" update... it says major.. so they prob still going to update it but it will be small updates..
I really hope there'll be a way to create secret exits for worlds. If not it'd be a great minor update later.

Biggest things I would want to see added to put the cherry on top, are alternate exits, and those hidden caves that you might can see a lip of floor, but once you walk in it lights up the little area. That way you can hide extra coins, lives, or even exits (hopefully). Other than that, well done Nintendo!!

I can see MANY creative troll and kaizo ideas coming out of these new elements and I imagine at least a few people have already begun to turn over their minds to come up with how to do things😂

I know this is the last major update, but it'd be really nice if they added giant red coins/yoshi coins etc that stay tracked in your World levels. Give them some replayability and allows you to have optional tricky areas for completionists.
I'm honestly close to being as hyped as I was when the very first SMM2 Trailer dropped, like World Maker is litterally the thing I wanted the absolutely most to be added...Coins and 1-ups, as well as exploration finally have actual purpose, you can link levels together and create a coherent experience...this is going to be insane

It's a cool update but it's still missing alot of things like: (warning, long list)
Ememies:
Dolphins, Charging Chucks, Porcupuffers and Fire Bros in all game modes, Blarg in all game modes, Ice Bros, Boomerang Bros (like really?), Fishing Boo Sumo Bros, Fuzzy, Ninji, Broozer, Fire Snake, Scary Piano, Cat Goombas (I mean c'mon), flying Goombas, alive blocks, Conkdors, Bramball, Volcano Plant, Monty Tank, Huckit Crab, Sparks, Bowser Statues, Grrrol, Chain Chomps in the 3d world.
Items:
Ice freaking flower (how can you miss that?), penguin suit, bee mushroom.
Gadgets:
Pencil Skewers, Skewers in the 3d world (I can see skewers facing the screen like banzai bills), Burners and Fire Bars in the 3d world, cannons in the 3d world, an actual 1 pixel spike block that stays spiky in the 3d world, Icicles on the ground facing up, Ball n Chain.
Other additions: More semi-solid ground options (especially for 3d world), Night theme in 3d world (seriously, I want poison levels in 3d world), Another game mode (for me I want Super Mario Galaxy), Cosmic Marios (now that would be a cool addition), and what I want most of all is to have a liquid (water/lava/posion) in a 1 pixel block and be able to place it where ever I want on my level and have the option to turn off/on the liquid (on like forest or castle levels).
Oh and quicksand
Cursed Key will forever be the new Boo when you get trolled into a soft lock. Thank goodness we won’t have to spam left and right any more!
Things I see coming from this:
P-Balloon anti-softlocks, On/Off Trampoline troll-traps, Goomba Mask stealth levels, and *_endless amounts of pain and suffering for DGR._*

It has so much troll potential it's scary. The funniest I thought while watching it would be like this obvious set-up where an enemy would do something for you when you hit something, but then you get goomba hat and it stops and something other occurs cause of it. I have so many ideas sadly i'm not smart enough to do contraptions.
