I love the way her face lights up when she speaks. You can tell how passionate she is about her project. Good watch.

I was raised to be afraid of everything as well. I developed phobias that were difficult to manage as a child and throughout my adult life. My life was a restriction and I never was truly living. I had developed agoraphobia. One day I told myself I had enough. In a split second decision I went skydiving. I then took flight lessons. Then I booked a flight to Colombia (I had never left the country before). Nothing bad happened. Push yourself to go beyond your regular fear. Keep pushing and you will be surprised what you can accomplish and how strong you truly are!

It's important to distinguish fear and shame. You feel fear but you can face it and get things done anyway, it's a mindset shift, now shame can literally destroy your dreams and keep you distant from everything you want to be or do in your life.

But, sometimes your deepest fear is that people will find out your "secret" and you will be humiliated. That usually happens when you're young. Now, that I'm older, I am proud. Despite the fact that I grew up in a *female-headed household in the projects on welfare, I was able to obtain two college degrees. And, if I live in the "ghetto" now, it is because I came back to help my community, my people. (*I did have a father growing up. But, he struggled with alcohol abuse, but he paid his child support whenever he could. And, he tried to be a good father whenever he could he would take us to the beach, the movies, buy us ice cream and toys. He was my father. You only get one. May he rest in peace. 🌺

You don't, t have to get naked in order to overcome your fear. But overall I like the idea of challenging your fears.

I have severe anxiety disorder. I don’t like leaving the house, for fear of a panic attack. It just happened today. I planned my two destinations. I had a panic attack at the first one. Went home, gathered myself, and did the second. You’re aware of how irrational it is, and I can try to talk myself down, if my body hasn’t already reacted. It’s a life of worst case scenario at all times in your head. I will remember what she said.i really found that helpful. It’s already how I’ve felt, but didn’t have a phrase. It won’t be my mantra, but just normal every day scenario, I am trying to deal with. I’m not there yet, with hoping for the “best”. I know I’m missing out, and I don’t want my kids to suffer for it. That’s my motivation. Really hit home with the mom thing.

cas4040 cas4040 I struggled with anxiety and still can feel it creep up at times. I’ve also had panic attacks and once you have one you start to fear.. FEAR! At least I did.
But if you’re in a safe place, like your house...and you feel anxiety coming on just let it come. Which is the exact opposite of what we want, right? Tell yourself “I have anxiety. That is why I’m feeling....xyz.”
Also if you haven’t found the origin of your anxiety I would suggest figuring that out. It could be one or a combination of things.
For me, I’ve been anxious all my life, but didn’t realize that’s what it was until I became an adult. My faith really came into play. I realized I wasn’t trusting God to always have my back. But, I can’t find a time He has ever let me down. And that doesn’t mean my life has been struggle free. I was born with chronic kidney disease, been on dialysis, my husband was blown up and shot in Afghanistan, We’ve got a child in heaven.... Trusting God doesn’t mean life will be prosperous and carefree, Jesus said the opposite that in this life we WILL have trouble...but He promises to be there and walk alongside. He has proved to me repeatedly He is who He says He is!
Just sharing what helped me and maybe a nugget of it will help you. I hope 💚

I have a fear/phobia of driving over a high bridge without a shoulder lane to pull over for safety if u havr car trouble. I faced my fear drove over san francisco bay bridge and golden gate bridge thrn san mateo bridge. After 3 bridges i still fear driving over bridges. Facing fear didnt break any ice for me

I hate snakes and I am ok with that fear! External and interior fear are two different things! Jumping off a bridge is an external fear but we have these interior fears that are the hard ones to face !

Most of these "fears" are just made up. Nobody has that many fears. It seems anything that is recognised as a fear in a group of humans, she's got it.
