Brett is my fave but man can boys to men is my jam! Saw them twice in concert with new kids! I got a rose! I had just got out of the hospital from a suicide attempt after a fallout with my daddy. My mom and I were driving the 45 minute drive home when the radio was offering tickets if you could answer the question. The first girl got it wrong but my mom won two tickets. She had a date that night, she canceled it so she could take me. I’m crying writing this but it was an important night of my life. I was 17. I’m turning 25 in 2 days and today is my dads birthday. We are close again. My dad was my everything growing up. It’s been a rough road lately but I’m powering through it with a vengeance. My mom and I weren’t close when I was young because I blamed her for something that was out of her control, but boys to men, new kids and Brett are what brought us close together, they legitimately grew our relationship and when I saw the crossroads episode with Brett and the boys I called my mom at 3am crying. Love “in case you didn’t know”, love it so much. I have massive struggles with communication to people I love. It’s not intentional, purposeful, intended, mean spirited… I just forget to say it. I’ve been making a lot more effort to do it lately. Recognizing that relationships that didn’t need to erode were going south. Anytime my wife or I leave the house, three kisses and an I love you. Call my mom and sisters every week (or I try). My boys at least get hit up on holidays, sometimes just randomly. Gotta tell them sometimes, just incase they didn’t know.
in case you didn't know is the song I use as a ringtone for my husband. I almost walked down the aisle to it actually. It was how I felt before I was able to say "I love you" for the first time. Happy tears when I hear the entire song. I had not heard his version of Hallelujah...just WOW
Both songs are amazing. The 2nd song Hallelujah I closed my eyes and just listened to it and just listening it helped the migraine I had by relaxing me. I love his voice and I don't like many of the newer artists but there are some like Brett Young, Luke Bryan and a few others that just take me back to when country music was country music.
I absolutely ADORE the CMT Crossroads series that Brett Young did with Boyz 2 Men! Talk about an awesome blend of voices! I actually prefer the version of Catch with Boyz 2 Men!

Got to make a small correction Hallelujah is not technically a gospel song it has more or less been used as one but isn't.
Hmm...the original one used several bible verses in it, but I guess it's possible it wasn't meant as a gospel song. Either way, it's beautiful
