    I know it's a long one! There is just a lot going on in this video. If you check the Amazon links I put a different KSGER T12 with a newer one that won't have an issue with the 3.3v rail. You can also remove the RTC battery because you won't need it anymore.

    Sweet, thanks for this. Still learning my KSGER.

      Yeah, I thought it neat. Another Upgrade that might help is adding a CAP to the 24v rail on the control board side. I added a 47 UF 50V on mine ( didn't show that in the video). I didn't show it because it was just a random cap and not calculated on what the right value is. If you look at the photos in the Github Some of the boards came with a cap there from the factory but other models did not.

    Raising this thread from the dead lol! This is interesting; thanks for sharing this!
    Does this firmware work on any STM32 based soldering stations? I have the KSGER T12 station, the KSGER Hot Air Rework station, a Handskit SMD tweezers rework station and a Handskit desoldering station. Would this firmware work on all of these? Or would I need to get specific firmware for the hot air, SMD tweezer, and desoldering station?

    Which one of the f103 chip models did you use? Thanks

      I had fun doing it. I am looking at the JBC DDE-1C. If I come to my senses and don't buy it I will get a T245 handle for the KSGER unit.

      Yeah I contacted JBC to see if I can work out a deal with them. If not I will contact Hakko

    bro..
    Try modifying ksger with jbc soldering handle.
    I think the T12 soldering iron is not optimal for mobile phone technicians..

    • @FixedUntilBroken
      @FixedUntilBroken  3 года назад +1

      I agree and I do plan to test it out on here. I need to get a one of the thermometers for checking the soldering iron temperature. You need that to tune it for the JBC tips. I was able to just copy somebody else's numbers for the T12. But yes I agree JBC makes a superior tip.

      @@FixedUntilBrokenOh, one of the functions of jbc.. when the soldering iron is placed, the temperature will automatically drop.. whether the jbc soldering handle has no effect on ksger.. because as far as i know there is no auto sleep feature in ksger.. I'm waiting for the video review bro.. greetings from Indonesia...

    Got lost when you started explaining te intial wiring to flash the unit, a close up might help.

    • @FixedUntilBroken
      @FixedUntilBroken  2 года назад +1

      Pictures are on the github files that's why I didn't do a super close up. There are few different circuit boards so if I did an exact video on how to do it than people with the different boards would not find the video useful

      You will probably need to burn the new firmware to get past it

    2:46 that is an arduino nano not an stm32 bluepill

      It's blurry in the video so I can't for sure anymore but that draw is my stm32 draw but it might have been a nano sitting in it. It does look like you are correct. I clearly just reached in draw while talking.
