I've only had the voucher for a couple of weeks. I've have spent many hours daily trying to find a place that will take the voucher. Been touring apartments and meeting landlords. I already feel overwhelmed and depressed about the whole situation

It feels overwhelming. I have section 8 no one really helps me only vague emails back. My management company boss is verbally abuse. I feel porting is just a myth. I thought Section was a chance to better myself, the only one getting a head is the landlord.

My Pha is a nightmare as well. Never answer my questions or concerns. Just like you said. Very vague. They just leave me hanging..clueless..feeling trapped. I cant understand how this is okay!?! The treatment we get.

I have been awarded a Project Based Voucher for a unit, but every time I inquire with the agency/property about how much my rent would be, they cannot answer "until I sign the lease." Is that normal? I don't want to sign a lease until I understand what the rent would be.

Hard to say without knowing much about your case or or the answers you gave but if you make too much money that could one many reasons.
