Nade stacks were the best thing in Halo CE. Old trick jumping montages were lit back in the old days. Although I was good at it myself, there's a lot you could do with nades, rockets, fuel rod gun, OS or if you increased maxed health to 500% (I think).
That's cool to hear this was done in ye olde times of Halo CE. I'm gonna look some of those montages up... I was only 5 when this game came out so didn't get to play it til like 2008 or so, and was fascinated by it. It's an incredible feat of gaming. It's amazing how, as both a speed run game and just a game in general, Halo CE holds up still as a super solid fps.
@@winterlogical yeah same, i was 5 at the time it was released, and played the absolute shit out of it. i kinda discovered nades could be stacked and launched with other nades back then, but the nade stack tricks are easily my favorite trick he does when he runs CE. Theyre so satisfying lol.
@@Noah050 CE multiplayer had the FRG even in classic gametypes. I'm not aware if this was a PC only thing since that's what I started playing pre-2010 (that wack port of the game by Gearbox). I would like to believe that the original XBOX included it in MP but I could be wrong as is my assumption that it may be included in MCC (as well as its PC port). The FRG was the ultimate noob canon in smaller maps which included it. E.g in Damnation CTF you could spawn camp enemies with it relatively easily. It didn't shadow the rocket launcher but it was near impossible to avoid being spawn killed in tight areas which CE (smaller) maps are infamous for. It's more balanced in bigger maps and most competitive players would use it in addition with a sniper, especially on Blood gulch CTF because it'd flip vehicles and send them flying. You could also be a complete wuss with it and spawn camp teleporters because that thing had so much ammo to spare.

Love seeing this after all these years. Use to do grenade hopping with friends in old lan tournies for this. There's quite a few maps that can get your quite high and set up sniping zones.
I remember this was a pain in the ass to do in Halo Custom Edition because that netcode would make it so you bounce in the air like crazy because of the lag haha
Super jumps in Halo 2 multitplayer were always awesome. Exploring all the maps in campaign was another favorite past time. spent more time exploring than anything else.
Wait did he just make it so 2 or 3 grenades land exactly where he’s standing right as the one on the ground blows up AS he’s doing a rocket jump then another one or 2 blows up mid air right under him to send him to the top of the map?
He put 2 nades on the ground (one above the other) and used the side bouncing nade to land perfectly on the same place than the nade that he throw to the sky, so this 2 nades also explode at the same time and boost him up to the sky
I remember CTF games on Danget Canyons where you could clip through the wall separating red base and blue base by getting rammed by a friendly warthog. Then you'd just need to book it back to base from behind enemy lines with their flag.
@@genokugel I think in a weird way they do; it's delayed gratification taken to an extreme. Hey Garish, love your videos and live streams although I haven't caught one for a few months.
