Thank you Sir, I will be eternally grateful to you 😊. You have given amazing things about rutting, I used to always await for your more videos like this. Sir Can you please make some videos on Railways. It’s a humble request to you 🙏
Sir, in the definition of rutting, said that rutting failure occurred due to the vertical Compressive strain at the top of subgrade, but in the mix rutting subgrade doesn't effected. So why we are called its rutting? And also for densification?
Rutting on the surface is contributed by all the layers. It is found that almost half of the rutting is contributed by base and subbase and remaining half by the bituminous layers. Mix rutting occurs due to poor design of mix, gradation of secondary compaction after opening of the road to traffic. This is completely avoidable and is not considered in the design of pavements. Similarly, rutting in granual layers may be due to overloading or overstaining of subgrade or inadequate pavement thickness. The pavement design should be such that overstraining of every layer of the pavement is avoided.
Being a Aspirant u changed the way i used to look at transportation engineering...
U are truely an inspiration
I m glad you liked it. Keep watching
Uploading a video on highway alignment today at 4 pm. Watch it
Sure sir
Sir, Do you have any video regarding Application of iit pave software?

How to know subgrade rutting?
Subgrade rutting can be determined by make a full depth cross section of the pavement.
