I bought this lens with the 5.3 body when first introduced because the kit was available before the body alone. I never expected to use it often because I have several Pro lenses. But I take the 5.3 and this lens with me very often instead of the 1X with the 40-150f2.8 because of the weight and size. Optically, it seems excellent. Glad you got one and that you produced this review.
Great work as always. Had this lens for a few years on a Panasonic bodies. I Always travel with it - the image quality and sharpness for the price is excellent! On the long end, I can get a decent image at 1/4 sec with my G9.
I have just bought a second hand mk1 version for £160, it does not have the weather sealing but I am not worried about that, I took out my budget 40-150r lens in the rain today and had no problems, as long as you wipe it down when you get home it's ok :)
First time viewing your video. Your video is very informative but the first thing I notice is the audio. It’s just muffled compared to other RUclipsrs. I wonder if you update in that area, your videos will be better. Just my 2 cents. Peace out!
It is a dust proof, splash proof and freeze proof lens. I own it and I totally agree with your assessment that is a very useful lens to own.

Great video, love that you're still doing micro 4/3s stuff. This lens is very interesting to me for its versatility. You have lovely channel.
It is weather sealed, read the specs

very interesting video. I have it but I find the lack of lens hood lock to be an inconvenience
