Who gives u flying shit about the "pre-recorded vocals" or whatever, and he certaintly isn't the most likeable in interviews but he definitely had a stage presence and a very different kind Black Metal and didn't have to do a whole lot to get his point, kickass show
A different kind of Black Metal vocals i mean, kind of a class in his own, a very scary presence, only controvercy i see is the stage set and the fact that it was in Poland, other than that Gorgoroth was all business!!
From 107 this is the best thing iv'e heard. So fucking dark and sinister!! and who gives a shit if the scream at 226 is pre-recorded. It's about the whole effect that the song puts across!! I'm a purist but people can take it too literally sometimes at a cost to the music.
@Rilyn666 I don't KNOW it. But I've seen the concert in my dvd player, and if you look carefully at that moment you can actually see how Gaahl rise his face and deliberately cover his mouth with the mic when the scream occurs. Furthermore, he makes a suspiciously similar scream on "Unchain My Heart" (also pre-recorded, in my opinion). So again, I wouldn't bet for it, but many people agree that the scream is pre-recorded. Nevertheless, he is one of the greatest BM vocalists of all time. Greetings
Merkavo that kind of scream i use also. he covered his mic because that scream is a different technique than other scream xd you can barely hear that scream so he covers his mic to make it sound xd sorry for my bad english
@AheadlessZombie ye'h i know it's not, his vocals in GaahlSkagg prove that. Especially "skullfuck". I agree he's a great vocalist and was an excellent front man and i was trying to make a point about the atmosphere Gorgoroth created with their music. It was also in reply to other messages that were below!!
i highly doubt that scream was pre-recorded. ive heard screams like that from Dani Filth all the time. plus your watchin a great vocalist in the works here.
Just in case you're wondering; this is my favourite metal performance of all time.
"Blood, Stains, The Circle."

Gaahl is such a beautiful man.
The first part of the song is like Bach or Vivaldi

Why wasn't i born in 80's norway
awesome
@Rilyn666 that scream was pre-recorded though. However Gaahl was the best vocalist that Gorgoroth ever had.
De que color tiene los ojos gaahl y king ov hell like si gaahl canta como gato
I love Gaahl's voice in other songs but i still think Pest performed odeleggelse og undergang way better than Gaahl
