Good video. Thanks for giving this concept a go, you confirmed my thought on the de89 getting better with a heavier handle making the razor head more balanced.
I would suggest combing through your natual hair brushes,it does help for the next use. With natual hair brushes, they do loose hairs in the beginning, but hopefully that boar will be o.k now. When I face lather with mine,on the second time of lathering my face, the lather tend to be less,so learning from watching you, bowl lathering seem to help because you had no problems.Boar brushes need a least two months use to be totally broken in.
+Colin Benfield hey Colin I haven't tried and OSP creams only the soaps. However Wickham is a better soap in my opinion so I will be looking to enlarge my den with more Wickham in the future.
That’s a difficult question for sure! A month ago I would have said the semogue owners club but sadly it has lost all of its backbone and eats the lather now too! I really really enjoy the whipped dog 30mm boar knot which you could have set in a custom handle! However my favourite boar knot is probably the omega professional knot, it has a high loft and copious amounts of backbone! When it’s broken in however it has super soft tips and offer great lather retention and release! Hope that helps. I would also have to mention the 50/50 boar/badger mix knot from semogue (the caravels knot). Which once broken in gives the best of boar and badger!
@@AnotherCutAbove ok I see that's a great help I was going to buy the semogue I really like soft tips. I don't really like the Handel's on the omega.. the whipped dog sounds great as I would prefer a custom handel and could maybe get the loft abit higher. How does the whipped dog softness compare with the omega and semoge?
The whipped dog starts off soft but breaks in softer, quite similar to the semogue. I’ll be selling my Semogue TAJ very soon I reckon if I can’t get it working well again.
+Chris James you're totally right chris but the razor I want is so hard to come by! A wolfman lol and costs a wee bit more than I'm prepared to pay on ebay and second hand etc...
Got my SOC cherry on the way, Mate! I'm a recent convert to bore hair and I'm loving it!
+George Campbell lovely brushes

+The Suffolk Shaver mate if this gets any softer it will be like a cloud hahaha
Have you tried the new OSP tallow free creams? It's a toss up between one of those as a next purchase or just another fantastic wickams puck.
