Okay, Cam just pulling out Ancestral Recall honestly threw me for a moment. Just not used to seeing Cam play Blue Value outside of Friday Nights. I like it.
For Beejlander league they open a new dollar store pack every round, expanding their card pool each time. So the decks that start out having to play 4 colours can slowly zero in on something resembling a focus over time.
@@kevinlemley5962 As Landgraft posted below you. They could open a pack each time to upgrade their deck over time, which would be interesting. Granted it might be a bit ambitious, but I think they could do a open a new pack and build a deck each league episode too, but I also would be understanding if they went with the initial deck build and then do upgrade packs the rest of the league.
48:40, yes, you can know. just look at the bottom X cards of the deck at the end of the match, or during a tutor. it's not perfect information, but it should be plenty.
can someone pls explain why the factory was still a 2/2 under a humility? I came to a similar scenario a week ago and just had explained the fact that if Oko, Thief of Crowns Elks a guy, it is a 3/3 under humility, but if I animate my treetop village, it's a 1/1...... Layers etc? Help lol
I didn't like the mystic confluence at all. I think the best line is bounce 2 draw a card. Worst case is, the opponent is at 1 and can somehow clear your board (which we know there is wrath to do so). But if opp doesn't, then TNN is just lethal, no maze or blockers to do anything about. What I would love to see is Ben having Karakas to loop Emmy.
*SPOILERS* I'm a little disappointed that Cam didn't win game 3. If he had bounced 2 tokens and drawn a card, he could have won with either of the fliers on the top of his deck 2 turns after Ben would have been forced to Wrath.
Also really late, but I think you can't really play a stax deck without planeswalkers, since your "symmetrical" stax pieces mostly don't affect them and there is not much powerful stuff in white that does that.
i built a strictly worse cube but instead of just a bunch of inefficient creatures, i put in a bunch of super powerful buildaround cards without the payoffs, risky cards, symmetrical effects, weird cards etc and it's genuinely super fun, i've never played anything like it.
1:30:39 The FIFTH state of matter? I'm afraid my dumb is showing, only ever heard of the four whenever this is discussed. Solid, liquid, gas and plasma. What is the fourth here? I mean, a quick wikipedia lookup, (emphasis on the "quick" here) got me the four mentioned. If plasma is number 5, what is number four?
So what I got out of this is that if the strictly worse cube wasn't totally unfun to play, LRR would play it. I guess someone needs to make the ALMOST strictly worse cube now.
I mean vintage stacks is like singleton 60 outside 4 workshops, because workshop isn't the busted card. Also ancestral into notion theif is a fairly bad ancestral.
I know it doesn’t matter in the end (also because this was done live a while ago) but cam’s keffnet at 1:20:48 should have been put back into his library because of his god clause. Other than that, I’m happy to see the league return.
As useless as this comment can be, doesn't emrakul steal your opponent's next turn (by giving you control), then give opponent an extra turn, then the turn order returns back to the opponent?
It may be just a difference of personality, and maybe I have not paid enough attention. But the entire time Alex was on screen he made snide comments and was genuinely pretty unpleasant to listen to. Dunno if it was just a one time thing or if this was just me not paying attention before this, but I sincerely hope I don't have this reaction to him again.
I love how Cam is finally playing the mono grixis 2-for-1 deck he's been talking about for months finally. It looks really good.
Serge: No, wait, that one has more text so I'll target it instead
Alex: *activates the extra text*
Serge: =O
I'm so proud of Cam for going outside his Canlander comfort zone and playing a new deck
Serge, I believe your ninjas’ shenanigans would be known as “shinobigans.”
Loving the players not being locked into decks for the whole season, it makes for a much more engaging show
Okay, Cam just pulling out Ancestral Recall honestly threw me for a moment. Just not used to seeing Cam play Blue Value outside of Friday Nights. I like it.
I can't get married to my girlfriend because I'm engaged with this channel already
Peter Weikert that’s just so Canadian apologizing for nothing
This is my favourite variation on this comment.
this comment just won
You should consider poly-game-y
If Wheeler plays Seinfeld, is the deck renamed to Horse Joke?
It's a joke about nothing Jerry!
Fun fact: Big White was also my nickname in High School
No one:
Alex: there’s a totem on windswept heath
4:12 Match 1 - Ben vs Cam
1:28:56 Match 2 - Alex vs Serge
2:16:26 Match 3 - Jeremy vs Nelson
Amazing patience at 1:16:00 Cameron - great playing that Logic Knot!
my 2 favourite dads giving me a warm hello at the beginning
For someone that doesn't like planes walkers, Wheeler's deck sure has a lot of them.
Sick on the couch. So this is a perfect afternoon relieve. Thanks for all the content LRR persons!
I LOVE Cam!
I love all the other people at LRR too, though
Dude Nelson's avatar looks so good! Also ENGAGEMENT
I hope they at some point do a Beejlander league next year.
That would be a little much for a league. It's probably better kept as one-offs.

I love Highlander nights. And draft nights. And Pauper nights. And Commander nights. Magic nights in general...
An upload of canlander makes any day slightly better
Thanks for reminding me about the horse joke, it's been _ages_ since I've watched that video :V
LRR is my favorite Broadcast Juggernaut ... Content
ticketpaysforthewholeseatbutyou'llonlyneedthe EDGE for this engaging magic!
2:47:55 "I'l just casually put this Time Walk in my hand."
Alex "Homestuck Makes Sense" Steacy
These make my life better.... Thanks for the opportunity to engage with it!
Kinda wish Serge had the Fighting Dreamers Theme from Naruto on the Soundboard for when he played Ninjas.
25:40
"Now I'm the worst of the 4 judges."
Benjamin wheeler being humble with a humility in play.
Wait a second...
"Being white is confusing." - Nelson. Words I've felt deep in my soul my whole life lol.
Alex engaging in combat with Serge is always great
New Canlander content. Its gonna be a good day team.
FINISH THE HAM STORY ALEXXX PLZ
Always love these great stuff gents

it's not perfect information, but it should be plenty.
Hypothetically, if one wanted to get into Canadian Highlander, how would they go about it? Hypothetically of course.
North100 has an episode exactly about this! It's one of the early ones, I highly recommend checking it out
can someone pls explain why the factory was still a 2/2 under a humility?

Layers etc? Help lol
Once Alex mentioned Homestuck I almost snapped my neck looking at the screen cringing remembering high school. Please Alex no.
Black Mould seems like a fun deck to engage an opponent with
1:14:00 that's negativity bias, not confirmation bias
1:30:39 fifth state? I would normally found plasma forth before going into the more esoteric quantum ones.
Look at all this sweet engagement

I feel engaged in an algorithmic manner.
Holy shit that round 1 was nuts
Content, engaged. Laughs, initiated. Good times, had. 🤖
Much like the horse joke, this installment of the league is very engaging
can someone link the horse joke from the desert bus youtube channel mentioned @ 1:12:45
ruclips.net/video/6e27fF2Ls5g/видео.html should fulfill your Horse Joke needs.

Engagement, AKA BIG WHITE
No, Nissa didn't eat Chandra. That's why a fair amount of people didn't like the WoTS: Forsaken novel.
First sight of Jeremy on camera and he’s trashing Big White. Some things will never change.
Such engaging play.
Someone told me this was engagement territory, anyone know anything about that?
*SPOILERS*
I'm a little disappointed that Cam didn't win game 3. If he had bounced 2 tokens and drawn a card, he could have won with either of the fliers on the top of his deck 2 turns after Ben would have been forced to Wrath.
So, I know I'm behind here, but why is Wheeler playing multiple walkers in a deck? I thought he disliked them.
Also really late, but I think you can't really play a stax deck without planeswalkers, since your "symmetrical" stax pieces mostly don't affect them and there is not much powerful stuff in white that does that.
I would love to see Alex playing another deck...
Time to engage! Loved the stream guys
I am very confused about this horse joke. Can someone please explain what they are talking about??
i built a strictly worse cube but instead of just a bunch of inefficient creatures, i put in a bunch of super powerful buildaround cards without the payoffs, risky cards, symmetrical effects, weird cards etc and it's genuinely super fun, i've never played anything like it.
Anyone else love wheelers haircut

I mean, a quick wikipedia lookup, (emphasis on the "quick" here) got me the four mentioned. If plasma is number 5, what is number four?
Qure I guess if you count some of the dank low temperature states, there are more than four.
EDIT: make that a lot more than four.
The Bose-Einstien Condensate is possibly what they were thinking of there
I am engaging with this great magic content.
I see the premier lands player has returned
Why did cam discard a lethal bonecrusher?
The Rakdos Cafe.. Is that where you order a coffee and they just stab you in the chest?
Engagement¡!! THIS is what the flavor text on Infatry Veteran means right?
Someone should tell Adam that Jeremy has brought Big Dumb Idiot Tribal© to Canlander.
Was cam’s deck actually Jer’s deck? I see the C for cube.
Did the Cleveland Browns get bought out?
So what I got out of this is that if the strictly worse cube wasn't totally unfun to play, LRR would play it. I guess someone needs to make the ALMOST strictly worse cube now.
Serge and Adam are my favorites but I like everyone
Is cam going to get some cats and some ovens into his deck?
Thank you thank you thank you
I mean vintage stacks is like singleton 60 outside 4 workshops, because workshop isn't the busted card.
Also ancestral into notion theif is a fairly bad ancestral.
feeling engaged rn
Sure am being engaged by this content.
i have now appeased the youtube gods i guess? hooooorse joke.
Wow I've never been so early... Or so ENGAGED
I don’t have any clever engagement comment but color me engaged

Really enguaging stuff right here.
Engagement?

Wow. Serge got trolled
How was Hexdrinker force of negationed?
Kawaii and Beans
Well if you continue watching for about 20 more seconds you would see that they caught it and rewound
welp. you got me. haha

It's a "may" trigger, and Ben (controlling Cam) decided not to do it. So it stayed in the graveyard.
Even if it wasn't a "may" clause, Ben could have sacced the fetch land after the attack to shuffle Kefnet away.
engagerino contenterino
Battle for Bendikar
ENGAGE OPERATION STORM!
If Wheeler responds to this, I will have Engaged with the premier Deutsch Stax aka Big White pilot of the format
I'm considering gauging my ears in the shape of an N
OH THAT'S A BIG DONKEY!
Alex has really nice hair.
Hello, yes, I am engaged

I'm not a fan of the Chandra-Nissa story situation being made light of like that.
It's okay. You are valid and appreciated.
Force of negation cannot counter hexdrinker
