1980's documentary on Australia's historic shipwrecks by Ben Cropp.
Shipwreck hunting is Ben's passion tracing the last moments of The Pandora which foundered on the Great Barrier Reef where 35 lost their lives, including some of the mutineers of Captain Bligh's Bounty.
Ben and his team discovered its watery grave in 1977.
Many other historic shipwrecks met their fate along the Great Barrier Reef with only a few visits from diving adventurers when the weather is in their favour.
A marine archaeological dig on the Pandora is a unique logistic exercise, yielding many exciting items for the museum.
