OMG bringing back the pencil ✏️ factory 🙌 and all these OG venues.. was in Brooklyn & NYC in this time, Matis you hit the art music scene and legit jaws dropped 🙏 love you all these years 💖
Thanks so much for watching and sharing your memories! It's always wonderful to recall those iconic music venues. Just out of curiosity, which artist or band, in your opinion, has had the most significant impact on the Brooklyn & NYC art music scene in recent years?
Thanks so much for asking. I actually moved out of NYC and lived in the Caribbean for awhile lol the city life got to me. I now live in Northern California in Nevada City - this is music gold for folk type genre. I'm going to see Simrit on Fri. Lots of people like the band 2 runner as well, there's many more in this genre.
Saw matis in vegas perform songs from light several months before it was released. Bought the show recording from his online store. Listen to it til this day. Way better than the album released versions of those songs.
Thank you for your comment and for watching the interview! That must have been an incredible experience to see Matis live in Vegas. If you haven't already, please consider subscribing to our channel for more great interviews. Out of interest, is there a specific aspect of live performances like Matis' gig that you prefer to studio-recorded versions?
Thanks for your love from Mexico! Thrilled to hear your thoughts on Mike D's remix-it certainly adds a unique twist. If you haven't already, do consider subscribing to our channel for more music interviews. By the way, who do you think should be next for a Mike D remix?

Not sure if my other reply posted so I’ll say it again, 😂, you should get an interview with Laivy. We have to bring up our young ones too. He has an awesome perspective of it all from being so young growing up on the road with his dad and living chassidic.

@@BringinitBackwards I would probably enjoy more out there artists who went mainstream but still have an Indie Edge to them...I Here's three artists that I think fit that mold: The B-52s, Talking Heads, REM singer...
