One thing that makes Silly Fools special for us Thais is that we know they will never reach this kind of level again. Back in around 2005, Toe (Singer and main songwriter) grew really spiritual and became disillusioned with the music industry. He quits music altogether, went down the spiritual path, and now he’s a successful restaurateur. Silly Fools goes on with series of singers, but honestly they never reach the level of this classic line-ups.
Really interesting band and interesting characters. Also recommends checking Hangman, Toe’s last band before quitting music. (He has a full album left in his deal, and wasn’t really sure that he will quit music for good or not) Chocolate, พยายามกี่ครั้งก็ตามแต่, รักเธอหัวทิ่มบ่อ are great songs from Hangman.

The thing that makes the Silly Fools a legendary rock band in Thailand is the difference in making music. Because their songs are sung in Thai with unclear pronunciation. Thai songs and general songs usually have clear pronunciation in that language. But the band Silly Fools uses a method that focuses on melody. And this method is easy for their foreign producers. His name was Simon Henderson. I don't remember exactly whether he was British or not. That's part of what makes their music unique. Their songs have an accent similar to how Westerners pronounce Thai. If you know enough about the Thai language, you will know that the Thai language has levels of tones. Which different pronunciations have completely different meanings. For example, Ma means "ma". Ma, which is pronounced higher, means "dog". Therefore, it is more difficult than before to write lyrics to a predetermined melody.
