No. He does not practice Ninjutsu and only thinks that Ninjutsu is a "distant memory of the past". He does not realise that Ninjutsu/Ninpo is a way of life to us even today. We are the ones who practice it and who live it day by day. Ninpo is our way of life.
With Ninpo, we defend our homes and loved ones. We don't dream about traveling back in time and to go working for a warlord of ancient Japan, but we use the art to survive the dangers of the current world that we are living in. We use Ninjutsu to protect our homes and families. We use it to survive because the world is a dangerous and violent place to live in. That is why we learn stealth, Ninja weapons, bone breaking techniques and survival skills in nature, etc.
But Antony Cummins is just about history. He doesn't really care about Ninjutsu being used in the current day. Well that is his choice and his own opinion. But we Ninjutsu practitioners know that the art has survived until today because there are various individuals who have kept the art alive. And we will carry this sacred art into the future. This art of Ninjutsu will never die.

I was waiting for a mention of the biggest fraud in the martial arts:Ronald Duncan! Thank God, no mention of him. Screamed racism any time he didn't get his way. Taught a very watered down version of Ju Jitsu. Didn't have the student base, so he called it "Ninjitsu" and his school was swarmed. Hayes humbly asked for his help to connect him with Ninja masters in Japan...big shock, Duncan didn't know any! Hayes spent more than 10 years in Japan, studying Ninjitsu, returning often. I always felt sorry for Duncan's students.

If the question is in anyway is ninjutsu a real thing. That depends like technically all things in life. Yes but in reality it's not called ninjutsu and it is not a martial art though nor is it affiliated in the way bujinkan fools and their sick infighting mind control cult would like it to be. Be warned. Everything they teach in bujinkan is ultimately not real ninja but total wax on wax off bullcrap. Its not even real martial arts all it is is just foney larping and a boys club for people who like hollywood action characters as opposed reality I know this because in the past I trained with them for years and can tell whats authentic and what isnt. There is authentically speaking no martial art of ninja although it is perfectly natural to be a fan of the Hollywood idea just to know that's a harsh realistic fact right there word most obviously not just from me the world over. www.youtube.com/@bujinkanAKAbullkon-jn9sv/playlists

We should have had Anshu Christa Jacobson here on this list, instead of Antony Cummins. The list should have people who are actually practicing and keeping our beloved art alive today, so that it may continue into future generations! Although Antony Cummins has translated some Ninja scrolls, he only has some knowledge of the ancient Ninja of the past. But he does not practice Ninjutsu and nor is Ninpo his way of life, as it us to us in modern times. He sees only its historical aspects and that is all that matters to him. But to us it is alive and it is our actual way of life.
Antony Cummins does not practice any Takamatsu Ninja style, nor a Koga Kawakami style nor even the Ronald Duncan Koga style of Ninjutsu. He does not practice our Ninja art but only reads about it. He is only interested in the past.
So, therefore, the future of our art should not be in his hands.
In truth, he is just a reader and a translator. But to thousands of us, worldwide, Ninpo is a way of life. It is sacred to us. Our art is not just memories that are only found in the history books or memories that are seen only in the museum but it is our way of life. It is meant to defend our homes and our families.
We must pass it on to our children and they must pass it onto future generations. They must live it. Not just read about it as a piece of history as Antony thinks it should be. He thinks Ninjutsu is dead but he is very wrong! Ninjutsu is not dead!
No man has killed the Ninja and Ninjutsu will never die. The only ones who died are the warlords of ancient Japan who used to hire Ninja to work for them.
But our art still exists today and It should be in the hands of those who truly value it and who keep it alive even today.
It should be in the hands of someone who knows and realises that it still exists because they themselves live it day by day!
This art must be passed on to future generations by real Ninja practitioners who are living the Ninja way of life. Ninpo. Anshu Christa Jacobson is one of these people. And also the late Ronald Duncan and Shoto Tanemura! RIP.
And yes, real Ninjutsu is still available today and here are some links as proof:

When you tell me about the samurai. Dont bother. Real samurai trained full contact with live resistance in and out of their armoured suits and when they did so they always no matter how lively it was made absolute sure they never got too hurt to fight in battles to come. That's why the samurai are up there with the legendary viking and spartan warriors. That's why sparring is so relevant in this day and age. And that is why bullshit arts such as aikido and bujinkan and wrongly taught tai chi applications will never amount to dried up horseshit and you and your kind that follows it are nothing but absolute loosers from the beginning.

proceed to tell me that you find it so good and that they treated you so well there and that you find the training assists you. What about so many of everybody else who has been there and done that for so many years with that shitty bullshido org at the end of it all that is the bujinkan and who find the exact counter opposite of what you are saying. We live in a world of one's meat is another's poison and what works for one doesnt for another and not to mention that one's vision of what should be, is or was is another's utter abomination but hey have you ever stopped to think about that before assuming only you can be right when its pretty clear that such ''effective' 'techniques' as you call them are not even good enough for cheesy hollywood old school action scenes.

Are you suggesting that those in bujinkan are able to use swords is that it. That they could with their phoney house playing excuse for 'training' and so-called 'deep underlying concepts' could possibly know the first thing is that what you are saying. That sword martial arts are as simple as larping. Is that how it is. I know that in bujinkan aka Bullshit-kon they always bash arts like Kendo and Judo because they are 'sport' 'arts' and I don't care. That is because any Kendoka or Judoka worth their salt would without doubt most utterly floor such fake ninja fools without even thinking just to know. Needless to say word not just from me the world over obviously.

It’s Bujinkan. The organization has been thoroughly researched by Bullshido. It’s all garbage, basically a fake Ninja school (they all are) that started in the Japanese Ninja Boom then pivoted to the American Ninja Boom. They make money via Westerners playing Ninja camp in Japan. Bujinkan is 100% bullshit. it's a total Live Action Role Play. It's slow motion, make believe, and wouldn't stand up in an actual street fight much less a combat situation. If you want to learn real hand to hand combat, stick with the combat methods used by actual fighters.
