Pretty new to the game and I understand most things played magic competive for 5+ years but I think the most complex effect is the rank four system in this game I don't understand them whatsoever could you explain what would happen at the end of the turn if I normal ride my grade 4? Would he retire? If so why doesn't nouvelle.
Grade 4 isn't a seperate system it's just a normal unit and you ride them up just like you do with grade 1 to grade 2 etc. only they aren't given to most clans they are very special because most decks tend to go only towards grade 3. Nouvelle en exculaptes are just ordinary ride units unly exculptes effect allows you te reride back to blaster blade. Gear chroncile special mechanic is that they can utilize these grade 4's differently and so they tend to get more of these grade 4 cards. they can just nnormal ride them as any other deck but because of lost legend they can superior ride them and at the end of the turn reverse back to grade 3 so they aren't locked out of riding grade 3's (you can't ride a lower grade then your current vanguard) If your talking about the STRIDE mechanic then that's a whole nother story that was a mechanic from the last series of this game and only exist in Premium not in standard. These are grade 4 G-units they're in a side deck (not your main deck) and you can place them on the vanguard circle when your discard a total of 3 grades or more from your hand while you and your opponent are grade 3 or higher. They are units that have 15k+ your grade 3 unit power they have also their name and at the end of the turn they are moved back to the extra deck (this is a very watered down explanation)
Aswome I could help. As seen as you are new to the game you might want to keep an eye out for upcoming videos. Starting next year I'm going to do all kinds of tutorial video's from basic how to play to indepth analysis's of game mechanic's. So you might be interested in one of those video's.
Awesome vid. Can you make a premium build for great nature. Im interested in some of the combos a bigbelly mixed in with leo pald v series deck would do?
The problem is I'm not an experienced premium player(with all the clans) and it would take to much time to also make premium deck profile videos because in premium their are countless different decks you can build. So I tend to keep away from making premium deck profiles UNLESS I have a personal interest in the deck and it mostly just for fun (thats why I probably am going to make a Gears premium video). I want to make more information like videos (turorials, analyses, etc) to help newer players start up the game but at the same time help current players to keep up to date but I don't feel deck profiles help with that mostly a deck profile has a negative effect like the following: player searches for a list -> finds a list in a video or online -> don't listen to the explanation or just ignores tips and then either of 2 things can happen 1. They win because the deck is strong but very easy to play like gyze/NLK or 2. They lose everytime because they don't understand how the deck fuctions. The reason I personally do standard deck profiles is because it's a new format/game so with the first support wave it is great to have a start point for a new player. Also I often do weird non optimal cards in my builds just to explain a interesting interaction or combo to encourage people to look at different playstyles so they might learn something new.
@@VanguardInsider Thats perfectly fine and unterstable you actually help me make my first step in premium when it came to gold paladin and great nature. I know this is a super old comment but no the only one that’s fine to run out of those 3 is memenne and even then she’s not that great. The grade 3 of the triplets doesn’t have a marker which screws your columns in terms of power and to add insult to injury memenne is 6k and ahne is 8k which in a force clan is already awful and since zerix doesn’t have a marker, you’ll struggle to hit good numbers on zerix turns.

I know this is a super old comment but after a lot of testing I actually really appreciate escrude for what he does as a backup. He’s pretty good imo, but because you have to run grade 4s he can’t really shine as brightly as he could.
