    @okrafoot if you look closer i'm actually spacing trees not clear cutting..the trees I cut are left as compost which is beneficial for soil and the trees i space.

    the 480 was the best spacing saw ever made. I spaced at least 600 hectares with one of these. I love your style by the way, pro job in bigger stuff. Nice cut pattern.

    I used to work with this for years, you would be stunned to what trees we took down beside power lines with it, if we didn't want to go back and fell it with the chainsaw later.

  • @okrafoot

    Easy just cutting down the trees with this saw.....but who is going to do the back breaking work of piling the brush all up? Much easier to rent a small dozer and clean all this wooded area.

    what type of saw ?....who sells it or is it custom made........you left out key points on this video

    • @chatimer
      @chatimer  7 лет назад

      Alberto Rodriguez it's a stihl fs 480. They stopped making them 5 years ago to 'curb carbon emissions'. If you luck out and find one second hand that's still in good shape, hold on to it because with one saw I've cut hundreds of hectares and some dealerships still have parts.

    those chaps will do nothing against that blade. Just FYI

    • @DavidSmith-fr1uz
      @DavidSmith-fr1uz 9 лет назад

      If these are regular chaps, you're absolutely right. There are some chaps that are made with Kevlar Fiber that are highly resistant to cutting. However, they work better with chainsaws than sawblades. Point is, as you have implied, people need to be really careful with these tools. Often you won't know you're cut until you see or feel the blood.

    • @gocoastgaurd721
      @gocoastgaurd721 9 лет назад +1

      David Smith Exactly, I don't even know if kevlar would stop a blade like that, the best would be pure sheet steel;). But realistically, the best is to be careful and not act stupid.
