As someone who has Mos Eisly Cantina, the joy of lego isn't in the sets that u build from someone else's instructions that actually hold the value for me but rather the re-use-ability of thw product as a whole. Maybe that's just me
Do you mean the pieces that the set provides? For me it’s kind of like an art piece, some buy sculptures and some buy paintings and fancy furniture… And I got the Mos Eisley Cantina 🙃
@4xThree I completely understand as I also build and keep sets but I use those sets as a reason to build my own stuff to finish the scene. Gives u a feeling of completing something that only u have. I love making my own
@hoarder66 last weekend I saw a 13meter / 42 feet Tatooine moc which had done just that. Expanding on the scene, including every scene that played out on Tatooine. Will upload a video of it soon!
Amazing first video. Might be fun to see you take some of your favourite themes (Bionicle, Dinosaurs, Star Wars etc.) from back in the day, and compare them to their current day counterparts and how you feel Lego has grown and evolved over the years, and also give yourself a chance to revisit why you loved those old themes! Closest current-day matches would probably be Construction Figures for Bionicle, Jurassic Park for Dinos and of course just Star Wars for Star Wars.
This is a great suggestion that I will definitely explore! My old sets are in another country in my family home but I might swing by this winter and try to assemble some classics to bring back and create a video like this!
inspiring video, i’ve been eyeing up the cantina for a while now and might have to pull the trigger before the end of the year. similar boat as you hadn’t collected lego for around a decade then got some speed champions sets on a whim and was hooked. although that’s the only theme i have bought since returning, my childhood itch for some star wars sets continues to grow
I got the Speedchampion as a gift with purchase type of situation when I got the Beats Studio Pro and the building techniques in that set started the Lego itch for me! Glad to see we have similar experiences. The Cantina fully satisfied the itch, I really miss the Exo Force type of sets and Lego Agents was one of the last themes I bought into.
I was missing 2 parts (Pondo Baba's head and a piece used in the lil swinging bar door) and had a small tire in that bag for some reason. Called Lego and they sent out the parts and even gave me an extra Pondo Baba head which is always great cause ai can always use more aliens
@@raffikirschner there sure is! As I mentioned towards the end I have a set that is an update of a Technic Star Wars set from 2000 that I’ll be taking a closer look at in the coming weeks! Glad to have you here.
I also recently got back into collecting some Lego sets. I decided to pick up the Lego lord of the rings Rivendell set, paid a little bit for it. The build itself is quite large and takes up a bit of room when displayed, I'm a fan of the aesthetics of that set, it was quite an interesting set to build too, I had some fun building it. At one point I want to pick up the other Lord of the Rings Barad-dûr set from Lego. Regarding the video I did enjoy the editing in your video, it was nice. The build of the cantina looks interesting and quite a fun build, an issue with Star Wars sets these days is that they're quite expensive in regards to the dollar to piece count but from my understanding this set is quite good value for what you get in the box. Good video, Cheers.
NomadH02 in the comment section of this video also got the Rivendell set as their returner set! It looks fantastic, I love these bigger sets with lots of detail reminds me of the Sentai Fortress from Exo-Force back in the day but even beefier. Barad-Dûr is a giant of a set, I grew up with Lord of the Rings too but when it came to picking a returner set Star Wars felt like a domain I was a bit more experienced with but that PS2 game of Lord of the Rings The Two Towers slapped! Thanks for watching the video, hope you follow along :)
I actually loved those as a kid, I had a red dinosaur one and a green dragon one. The dragon one is still assembled with three heads and I have been eyeing the T-rex creator set! For my birthday I got the 3 in 1 camera set that I’ll pop open soon!
I wasn't missing any pieces in this set - I believe there was a case where I had the color wrong from the instructions and _thought_ I was missing pieces - recently, I did have another set (the Disney Villains, which my wife and I were building) that was short just one 1x2 brick. I've had another set months ago and I emailed Lego with the set number and piece number - took about a week and got the part... Great video!
I thought the instructions were a bit hard to read honestly when they’re printed on black, made all the colors look darker than their respective pieces. What did you think of the Disney villains set? It’s not my cup of tea personally but I like the concept and appreciate the approach they took on the set.
I´d recommend getting the Rivendell set if you can spare the cash for it, but maybe wait a while before building it. There is the risk of other sets paling in comparison :)
I saw that, I fully agree with you even at $400 it packs so much in one set! It went on sale locally at a retailer for $350 for about 2 hours and then the sale disappeared…
25:00 I might get a lot of disagreements about this but this is why I believe MBS is infinitely better than UCS, there's so much more interaction that goes with it.. I've been thinking about getting this one for a while and think I'm ready to pull the trigger. Great video!
If you’re a fan of that MBS style then I’d definitely suggest you get the set if you can. My white whale set is the Ewok Village from 2013, hopefully that gets a recreation soon even if it was pretty damn good for its time too.
Thanks! Still figuring out what the aesthetic of the channel should be but I think the pacing is quite relaxed and cozy. Hope you stick around for upcoming videos :)
@@arghjayem good eye! The cantina is the first set I paid for. I’ll be making a video around this theme of gifting Lego soon because I’ve had a really fun experience with it the last year prior to diving into it myself!
I have not had a missing piece in any of my many lego sets over the past three years. Granted, the biggest set I have is the recent brick built R2-D2. Sorry you had to deal with that.
I’ve built a lot of sets in my childhood and never had this experience either… I’m making a video on one of the brick build droids actually quite soon! Are you familiar with the old technic droid sets?
Kinda surprised at the missing piece, personally i bought this set from a knock off version and it was perfectly the same as lego. Except it was only around 100 bucks, and it didnt have any missing pieces at all! Something to look into to save spending so much on real lego, personally the only difference i found were the bricks were sometimes a tighter squeeze than lego. But the 100 bucks vs 400 odd, its a no brainer..... I found it on Aliexpress personally but i know there are other companies out there too
Fair enough! Whats weirder to me is that additional piece that’s not supposed to be in the set at all… Were you happy with the set even if it was a bootleg? Were the instructions the same?
@@4xThree yeah that's a strange one to have an unknown piece, honestly quality is superb. I noticed a few tiny things as difference, like the lamps are made with other pieces and not a single whole piece etc. I also think possibly the action part of the greedo chair isn't there? Haven't paid enough attention for that yet, but I have other bootleg (honestly even calling them bootleg seems bad cause like the quality is 80-80% there.) I have the Dungeons and Dragons set and it's really good, and I got it like
For future videos it could be an interesting discussion point for sure! I’ve seen people acquiring proper bootleg bionicle sets that look kinda peculiar, almost straight out of the “Bionicle” dream that many seem to have had… Will need more experience with the modern sets for now but down the line I might visit this topic, thanks for the suggestion!
@@4xThree any time! I've recently gotten back into Lego myself and the bootlegs have been a childhood dream come true. For a couple 100 bucks its easy to replicate an old Christmas being 11 getting some sets haha there's a whole other side too with MOC builds for sets that Lego don't make but there are brick designs for. I've seen some crazy 10,000+ piece sets
Ouffff $900 for almost only gray pieces is not where I’m currently at in life. 🤧 I think the design is sick but the price and the amount of gray is a bit of a setback for me. If I ever get that Lego connect though I’d gladly discuss it!
The whole stickers thing is a huge debate in the community you're welcomed. Everyone hates it, it ages badly and devalue sets over time because you can just buy standard bricks and the stickers sheet down the road whereas a unique pieces grows in value with the set. It's ulgy and annoying to put Lego loves it thought it's cutting a lot of costs for them and i'm sure we'll see more and more stickers and less and less printed pieces
Noooooo! My Exo-Force sets have aged so poorly and without the stickers they lose quite a bit of character… I don’t mind it if I lose some long term on the cantina because it’s not really adding THAT much detail, but they could’ve at least printed the tile piece above the main entrance… like how is that not an important enough design…
Someone thought Mango was a Bonkle back in the day and gifted it to me… oddly simple design. Making a video on the speed champions and some other sets as they were gifts which is what got me to buying my first set myself. Before getting myself the Cantina I got friends and family Lego for their birthdays because I wasn’t sure if it was deemed okay to collect Lego as an adult but now everyone around me has Lego so …
Didn’t get the reference, looked it up and not mad at all. I’ll take that as a compliment that’s some swagger! Also the cast looks so promising how did I miss this show 😂
I have some ideas of what sets I want to explore next and the channel needs to grow a bit prior to picking up larger sets, I have no connections at Lego either to get that early access nor free sets. When the time is right I will gladly review it! I rewatched all the X-Men movies this summer prior to Deadpool & Wolverine.
🥩 Welcome back to the money hole of collecting lego. I hope you've saved over the 16 years that you've been away because you're going to need it. I myself have 3 BNISB sets I bought a while ago because with its enticing box art and set design it just screams future investing! 🥩

Sorry to tell ya but the channel name is kind of foreshadowing the aspect ratio of all future content 🫣
@@4xThree I’m familiar in the sense of knowing about them, but I never owned any. Looking forward to the next video
@micahgeurts9233 Then we share the same lack of experience, stay tuned!
You may enjoy the diorama sets as they are sort of just smaller versions of this.
I really do like the speeder chase set but the price seems a bit to steep for some of them, especially the pod race!
I am a huge fan of using the different colored pieces. For a few reasons.
Can you name some? To each their own I just find is bit too on the nose.
Subscriber #96, getting in before you blow up like a boss.
The sub count is a bit off, you’re actually #99! Glad to have you here!
Whats weirder to me is that additional piece that’s not supposed to be in the set at all…
Were you happy with the set even if it was a bootleg?
I’ve seen people acquiring proper bootleg bionicle sets that look kinda peculiar, almost straight out of the “Bionicle” dream that many seem to have had…
Will need more experience with the modern sets for now but down the line I might visit this topic, thanks for the suggestion!
Get the at at!!!!!😊
Ouffff $900 for almost only gray pieces is not where I’m currently at in life. 🤧
I think the design is sick but the price and the amount of gray is a bit of a setback for me.
If I ever get that Lego connect though I’d gladly discuss it!
Great video!
Thanks!
nice vid
Thanks!
The whole stickers thing is a huge debate in the community you're welcomed.
Everyone hates it, it ages badly and devalue sets over time because you can just buy standard bricks and the stickers sheet down the road whereas a unique pieces grows in value with the set. It's ulgy and annoying to put
Lego loves it thought it's cutting a lot of costs for them and i'm sure we'll see more and more stickers and less and less printed pieces
Noooooo! My Exo-Force sets have aged so poorly and without the stickers they lose quite a bit of character…
I don’t mind it if I lose some long term on the cantina because it’s not really adding THAT much detail, but they could’ve at least printed the tile piece above the main entrance… like how is that not an important enough design…
A Great video 📸 God Bless U
Thank you very much! Hope you tag along for future videos.
Bro you got the 2015 mango fett and speed champions in the back
Someone thought Mango was a Bonkle back in the day and gifted it to me… oddly simple design.
Making a video on the speed champions and some other sets as they were gifts which is what got me to buying my first set myself. Before getting myself the Cantina I got friends and family Lego for their birthdays because I wasn’t sure if it was deemed okay to collect Lego as an adult but now everyone around me has Lego so …
Uncle baby billy jr. nice vid!
Didn’t get the reference, looked it up and not mad at all. I’ll take that as a compliment that’s some swagger!
Also the cast looks so promising how did I miss this show 😂
I’m on season 3 now of Righteous Gemstones…
You should build the ucs razor crest
True! It has some minifigs that fit in the interior right? And an odd brick built fella if I remember correct…
7:55 they actually did change the mold slightly
Do you know why?
@@4xThree I do not, but I do believe the new one is a but looser.
16 years? That's like... as long as I've been alive! (seriously though)
That makes me feel old 😂
Since your getting into Lego can u review x men mansion
I have some ideas of what sets I want to explore next and the channel needs to grow a bit prior to picking up larger sets, I have no connections at Lego either to get that early access nor free sets.
When the time is right I will gladly review it! I rewatched all the X-Men movies this summer prior to Deadpool & Wolverine.
🥩 Welcome back to the money hole of collecting lego. I hope you've saved over the 16 years that you've been away because you're going to need it. I myself have 3 BNISB sets I bought a while ago because with its enticing box art and set design it just screams future investing! 🥩
I have noticed that everything seems more expensive… what’s a BNISB set?
BNISB= brand new in sealed box
- - -PSHHHH . . younger Doppelganger ( Ed Bassmaster )
Looked him up and have no clue who this guy is 😂
@@4xThree He's been doing pranks for years... The most famous is him just going up to people and going Pshhh... He had a really good one when he was a zombie but I couldn't find it as it's so old...
Is this early RUclips lore?
@4xThree i guess you could say that he's been around for over a decade...BTW I just found my fav of his old vids...ruclips.net/video/CMMpaMLZxG4/видео.htmlsi=MXpJzEJCOVmXHLjq
you have 16 yr maybe 32 :D in my state people 20-30 its kids normal in usa every people in 12 its 30 ...
Not sure I understand, can you clarify what you meant?
missing pieces = left in bag. You need to check the bags again. Built a lot of sets.....
Unfortunately after checking all the bags several times it wasn’t found and that odd white piece made an appearance in the set without being referenced at the end of the instructions so I suppose that piece made it in the batch leaving the window piece elsewhere…
11th sub 🫡
I appreciate it a lot!
Not sponsered at all... Oh, man.
Nope, not yet at least 🫠
@@4xThree Then... don't do it! Sorry.
How come? Is there a stigma in the community?
@@4xThree No, it's money. But "the community" in Germany is the same...
...good luck for both of us next week!
Legos are cool from age 8-13 then you become a man and buy big boy toys.
What are some of your big boy toys?🤠
*lol NOPE!*
Ok.
@@4xThree *You asked a question.. Don't be a salty little bitch when you get an answer!* 😉
