    Thank you very much for the informative video! I've had trouble understanding how to use the PRISMA flow diagram for my systematic review based on what my university taught me but you've explained it in a way that is clear and easy to understand (and very patiently as well!). Also, your voice is also very soothing and reminded me of Julie Andrews :) Best of luck for you and your channel! 🙏

    Hi, great video! I just have a question about how one could differentiate a study from a report in this case. What are some instances of when studies and reports would not have the same n=x on the flow diagram? For example, would one report with a cohort and independent replication be considered to have two studies?

    • @ResearchMasterminds
      @ResearchMasterminds  2 года назад

      You may find an abstract from a conference presentation (report 1) as well as a journal publication (report 2) from the same study, which means you'll have two reports and one study. An independent replication on a different set of participants will be a study on its own. Enjoy the process. There are so much to learn out there.

    Hi, may I know what are the differences between database and registers? and what are their examples? I'm confuse.

    • @ResearchMasterminds
      @ResearchMasterminds  3 года назад +2

      You are asking a very relevant question. I don't have an official definition at hand, but I would think that something like Medline's Pubmed is a database and a study site's local archive of studies is a registry.

      There are so many moving parts to systematic reviews so I can just imagine how confusing it can become. Have a look at the Systematic Reviews Playlist on the Research Masterminds RUclips channel, there may just be a video that can help :-)

    Hello, thank you so much for this video! I have a question regarding the structure of the diagram. Is it possible to add more boxes, or adapt them according to our study? Or we must always follow this fixed structure? Thank you so much for your time.

    • @ResearchMasterminds
      @ResearchMasterminds  2 года назад +1

      Hi Victoria. You are allowed to adapt it according to your study :-)

      You are asking a very relevant question. It is answered best in this article pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/20307864/#:~:text=A%20registry%20and%20an%20academic,discover%20new%20knowledge%20through%20research.

    Is prisma statement guidelines is only for medical research or even management studies can use the guidelines. Do we need to register the title

    • @ResearchMasterminds
      @ResearchMasterminds  3 года назад

      Prisma was developed within the health domain, however you can use the principles for all subject areas.. For studies related to health, we register the title of the systematic review through PROSPERO. However, for management studies there may be a different platform.
