Not to mention flat out wrong as history has plenty of examples of women who did diabolical things from one of the most sadistic N@zi death camp officers ever to a woman who literally sliced Madagascars population in half.
When you say that men are inherently evil you mean all men. Disabled men, queer men, men of color. Which is bigoted. Unless of course you wanna take the other route of fucked and separate us from our manhood entirely.
Then again, you reek of racism and terfdom so you probably do actually believe that black men are more violent than the average person and gay men are sexist, women imitating demons but go off ig.

There needs to be consequences for large creators who abuse the copyright system, period. No one gets to hundreds of thousands of subscribers on YT without being fully aware of what the DCMA is and how takedowns notices work.
These people always plead innocence of the system and that they didn't know the law but somehow they were able to file the takedown properly and do not respond when the smaller creator tries to communicate. I've seen this pulled more times than I can count. The bullies are always hoping to silence the critic nothing more and nothing less. YT needs to start banning channels for DMCA abuse.

When I lived in Seattle, I worked with a girl that was a beautiful classically trained dancer. She was 20. She was not raised Christian, was not a virgin (which is not at all important). She also, like a majority of women, was sexually assaulted.
She went on a date with a guy that went to Mars Hill, married him 10 months later, dropped out of college in her senior year, quit dancing, and got cut off from her job, friends and family and was a mom of 3 by 24. Before she had to quit her job, she would talk about all the “repenting” she had to do for all her “sins”, including the assault perpetrated on her. It was perverse.
Her transformation was shocking, fast and terrible. It’s a church that preaches and hides abuse, even without Mark around.

Ugh, sounds like she married one of my brother's SPU roommates. I never heard anyone blamed for their assault, but I'm also not shocked Mark Driscoll pushed this idea. I know he preferred women to stay home and made some super demeaning/sexist comments in sermons (though I guess I either wasn't present for those, or wasn't paying attention). He definitely seemed insecure, at least from what I observed when I attended from 2006-2010. Now I'm embarrassed I attended. There was a whole court thing about it and it really traumatized my husband as a young boy. But I was thankful to know what happened and be able to approach it with him in private and on our own terms. I can not imagine him in a situation where he would feel forced to relay the details and get "healing" from the church...wow that would have just destroyed who he has grown to become today. Which, in my opinion, is such a beautiful and resilient man. Forcing a victim to confess and confront like THEY are the guilty one is disgusting.

He says he preached in an old hardware store in "a warehouse district, fishing district" translated he preached in Ballard while it was being swiftly gentrified. There's nothing wrong with starting a church where young people are going out for beer flights and fancy coffee if you want to attract that crowd, but it's a huge stretch imply that Ballard was still a working class neighborhood in the '00s.

Exactly, fishing district 🤦‍♀️next to Trader Joe’s and Ross. Lololol it was crazy driving through that area and seeing more and more people swarming to it. A couple of my friends fell for it. It was literally like people were totally brain washed over night and if you weren’t apart of their club they didn’t know you. I remember it feeling like people were in a trance. Delete or reject the messages sent from the messenger of Malachi 3:1 and you reject Jesus Christ Herself and choose to die with the wicked.
Malachi 2 proves Malachi 3:8 is prophetic instruction for the thieving church leaders to bring back the money they were never supposed to take for ministering and God will end Covid. Every major church around the world knew this since August of 2020 but they LOVE MONEY so much they chose to kill everyone with Covid instead of returning it!
James 5:2 Rich people are NOT Christians and the wealth they selfishly kept to themselves will only be used as evidence to burn them.
The 2 witnesses are righteousness and judgement, not actual people. There is no ONE antichrist; it was made up by people that worship money.
Stay out of the fake churches or you will die with them and their lies. In order to be a church, the place must house people inside it. Otherwise it's another private money-making business serving satan and part of Babylon.
There is no such thing as rapture. Jesus comes back to rule. God's people are caught up spiritually...
Romans is not referring to Eunuchs where one partner is transgender.
🏳️‍🌈 Eunuchs that are born that way are transgender. It's even in the Bible. Yes, the bible was written by bigoted men and is way outdated and was changed and should be thrown out. But even Jesus spoke about transgender people. Eunuchs made that way by others were abused (it doesn't happen to everyone that is abused). Those that choose to live like Eunuchs FOR THE SAKE OF THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN are bisexual people that choose partners of the same sex characteristics but opposite in regards to gender. Notice, God PREFERS for people to be in LGBT relationships.
Eunuchs are same sex couples. One partner is transgender. Transgender is when someone is born with a gender opposite the sex characteristics normally associated with that gender. God made us male or female, determined by gender, located in the brain.
Your gender is located in your brain and determined at birth. I have an identical twin sister that is female in gender. I am male in gender.
I am Elijah of Malachi 4:5-6 and that means any discrepancies in the bible are ultimately decided by me. Plus, it states in Deuteronomy that nobody was castrated back then. And that doesn't make sense anyhow. No one is born castrated and no one is born making the decision to be celibate. But, that is what God wanted the lying preachers to think so they wouldn't take it out of the bible. Intersex people still have one gender or another because gender is located in your brain.
And Acts 3:22-23 says it will come to pass that anyone that fails to listen to me will be utterly destroyed from among the people. So anyone that says different than this won't be here much longer. It's everyone's choice.
Anyone teaching the LIE of monetary tithing or getting paid in any way to minister will also die with the wicked.
      Peter 2:9 says we are ALL ministers . . . .
Jesus was transgender and will return as a woman.....
Remember, Malachi 3:8-12 is talking to the thieving church leaders. It's the answer to end Covid and every major church around the world has known this since August of 2020 but they LOVE MONEY so much, they INTENTIONALLY CHOSE to kill everyone instead of returning it. My preaching will lead to a universal monthly income for everyone. If church leaders dont repent, they won't be here to see it. Their choice...

The fact that most men can't insult each other without insulting women as well by referring to one another as such (when has a man ever been referred to as a woman in a good way really?) speaks volumes about how women are actually valued or even just LIKED for anything ever

Oof I went to Mars Hill every now and again when I went to University of Washington in 2007-08. I didn't go often, and it was by no means "my home church." (I'm agnostic now, so it's all kind of water under the bridge at this point), but I remember there was a lot of performative stuff there - everyone was lined up with one very specific aesthetic, it had kind of a Stepford vibe too with all the people that agreed on everything and everyone wearing variations of the same outfit - all the skinny jeans. Mark yelled at us about something every time I went there. I'll never forget one time he said very angrily how men have no right to abuse women, ever, under any circumstances - that women are precious and should be treated with respect. It was the first time I'd heard the words "women deserve respect" in a church setting, and weirdly, that was the very beginning of my journey toward becoming a feminist and a democrat, and ultimately that idea kicked off my deconstruction of Christianity, as Christian women are perpetually mistreated, and that mistreatment is constantly justified with Bible verses. With that single remark, he gave me permission to stand up for myself as equal to any man - he gave me permission to be fully autonomous, never to need permission again. Mark Driscoll is totally full of shit for the most part, he's a certified asshole and a truly terrible leader, but somehow he (probably accidentally) said something powerful in 2008 that helped me break free of fundamentalist Christianity, and for that, I am grateful.
But yeah, he most def shouldn't be a pastor.

I live in Seattle and went to a Christian university very close by Mars Hill. I used to go to a few of his services with some of my college friends... I tried to like him because it seemed like so many people were fans, so here is my little storytime: I was trying to get plugged into church groups at the time, and I happened to start going to Mars Hill when he started his "marriage" sermon series (so I'm all too familiar with his gross "smokin hot wife" comments). I was put off, but I guess I was curious about what all the hype was about. Thinking it might be all the friendly church members and the community that it provided, I went to what I thought was a Bible study, but it was actually a book study where we had to buy and read HIS book about marriage (keep in mind I'm a single young college student at this time). The first day I went to this "book study", it was ran by this super young newlywed couple married like 6months who acted like they knew everything about relationships. There was a girl who had disclosed that she was wrestling with whether she should pursue a career or just trust that she would get married and wouldn't have to work. They told her that it was the "devil" making her worried that she might not get married and have someone to provide for her. I chimed in and mentioned that not everyone is called to marriage and they brushed this off saying, "well she has a boyfriend" (as if that means shit) and that it was the devil making us actually think AHEAD that anything might ever go south in marriage in the future, so not to plan ahead in case you might have to work and support yourself someday. Both this couple and Driscoll would say that it was selfish to not get married and that single men just needed to pursue a woman. Also, women shouldnt do any of the pursuing but if we were not pursued by one of the men in the church there was something wrong with us.
So, that's when I peaced out, after about 4 church services and it actually propelled me to go back to the Catholic church (he hates the Catholics) 🤣 😅
Oh yeah! And he's so egotistical that when he's out of town, instead of having another preacher fill in for him, his congregation has to come to church a watch a video of his big ass head on a big screen like he's the fucking Wizard of Oz.
All this to say, I cannot stand this man and I fully support you exposing his grossness in this video 👍🙌👏👏👏

    Hi Jen,
It made me so sad to hear you were surprised by the support for the channel so I wanted to share what this channel means for me. I grew up in a fundamentalist Christian home and still lived there and bought into the whole thing until fairly recently. Seeing names and topics I recognized in your thumbnails made me curious and your channel is probably the biggest reason I was able to deconstruct and become who I am today. As a queer woman, I had no idea how much hurt the church was causing me and other people. You guys really opened my eyes and I can be myself now and start to work through some of that trauma. You helped me stop spreading these hurtful teachings to other people. I hope you feel all the love and support from your viewers because the work you put into these videos is incredible and you're doing a great thing. Thank you for everything.

I grew up in a fundamentalist, backwoods Baptist church and a lot of her videos hit home (although her publicly naming sexual assault victims in a previous video was highly disappointing). I attended Mars Hill after high school and a variety of mega churches and other churches after. I consider myself a more modern, progressive Christian, so I appreciate her pointing out the abusive tactics of some of these folks, like James Dobson, who caused so much physical abuse/harm to so many Christian children.

I grew up in Mars Hill church, and there are a lot of things that I could say about it, but there is one thing I always think was interesting. When I went through something traumatic at age 9, I wanted to talk to "Pastor Mark" about it. Because we were at a satellite campus, my mom got his email off the church website and let me email him. My mom happened to be friends with one of his assistants, and asked her how likely it was that he would respond to my email. The assistant said "Not likely, he can't possibly get to all the emails he gets from members. Wait, how old is your daughter? 9? Oh, you'll get a response. He really likes girls her age." I did get a response! Nothing inappropriate (besides the fact that he was trying to council a child that he didn't know about a traumatic event through email, but that is besides the point). Thinking about what the assistant said, in surprised that there have never been any accusations about sexual abuse in the church.

I’m so grateful for this episode - the podcast “The Rise and Fall of Mars Hill” with Mike Cosper from Christianity Today was really great in a lot of ways, but throughout all fifteen episodes (or whatever) it consistently refused to actually quote the most horrifying and dehumanizing things Driscoll actually said. (Cosper would say over and over, “it’s really bad-you can look it up on the internet if you want.”) So the listener learns so much about what a narcissist psychopath Driscoll is, without ever learning just how truly hateful he was. For ages I’ve been hoping Fundie Fridays would be the one to fill in those blanks!

She is the victim in this, not you, you selfish person. How could you hear about your wife (or anyone for that matter) being assaulted and calling it their sin. It's horrifying. The fundie culture I was raised in was very into victim blaming and from my own mom I learned that rape essentially doesn't exist because sex isn't meant to feel good for a woman anyway, and if a woman is raped, she probably asked for it. It is produced by Christianity Today, so it is coming from inside the Evangelical community, but the producers used it as an opportunity to talk about how Driscoll is only a symptom of more significant cultural issues within contemporary Protestant denominations. I found it worth listening to- they did an extremely comprehensive investigation (the whole thing is well over 15 hours of listening, but you can get the gist without listening to all of them).

It was designed in 1966, in the style of Frank Lloyd Right, with 360° view of a garden in the middle of the lobby, as well as a Drive-In Movie Theater option, to listen to sermons. In 2005, then Pastor Patrick Shetler was arrested for embezzling $60k-$100k of church funds, and opening fraudulent credit cards. Some of his congregants, and other churches that belonged to the Reformed Church denomination, didn't want him arrested. He got off with probation and a $50k fine.

I do remember Mark talking about his sex life a little too much in sermons (which is not uncommon in "hip" churches), as well as having one of his pastors shame the entire congregation because the offering (i.e. the donation bag or box that is passed around during the church service) wasn't to the church's standard. I found out later (after joining the military and moving away) that Mark had been using the offering and other donations, to buy bulk copies of his own book, in order to boost it to the New York Times best seller list.

My bf wanted to put on a new Fundie Fridays video for me knowing how much I love you guys when he remembered “oh no, they have those strikes, so there is no more Fundie Fridays” that sentence got me so emotional. Realized how much your videos meant for my life. In current times struggling with life they’re really my beacon in the dark. And now seeing you guys both back, Man, I missed your faces.

Finallllyyyyy. Mark Driscoll is such a piece of shit and I'm glad you've covered him!! When I was at church everyone seemed to be into this guy, excused his behavior. It was disgusting in every kind of way.
Also Jen, we love you regardless of whether you do your make up or not. You and James do a great job your videos are fantastic.

Many conservatives (and many Americans, for that matter) are petty, insecure, and abusive.
Of course they would flock to people like Mark Driscoll as "speaking the truth."
To them, misogyny, self-debasement, abuse, and delusions of grandeur are the truth.

Hey, I want to add that the Yellowhammer Fund is an Alabama abortion-funding and reproductive rights organization that I have recently donated to! With Alabama having one of the most restrictive abortion laws in the nation (no exceptions for r*pe or inc*st), it is so important that we make these organizations known and spread the word!

The way that he said he specifically wants to recruit young men.. is so gross, bc you just Know that what he means by this is that he wants to make younger guys be more misogynistic and awful, while being like "this is God's ideal version of man! Yeah! Just get out there and belittle women, make them feel like sinners for doing things you've done too! Or heck even for terrible traumatic things that they were victims of!" And it's so gross.
I feel like I know church leaders who sort of do a similar thing, heavily emphasizing biblical gender roles and how to "be a man" and all that and it's So Gross to hear !

I almost choked on my chocolate milk when he said he gets IV vitamins that work better because they ‘bypass the liver’.
I don’t think the body works how he thinks it does.

It's also weird how he has some very toxic masculine, bible belt attitudes but then mentions getting IV vitamins--which is not at all a bible belt thing, more of a: you took it too far LA thing.

… does he not know what a liver does? or that all blood goes through to the liver to get detoxified?? 😂😂 or that some vitamins you just straight up pee out if theres excess?? like i have so many questions about his reasonings

@@Butterflier00 Look at how this all reflects on United Statish society. The country is so scientifically, and especially physologically, illiterate, that political extremists and scam artists can prey on the populace so easily. How many voucher programs and stock boosts in private schools is it all worth?!

Hahaha my mom taught English at my private christian high school and she had a "mars hill" constructed in her classroom. Like an actual wood and foam structure you could climb and give speeches on.
