*You have to feel sad for Chael in this fight.* The man beat the crap out of prime Silva, and then tapped when he didn’t need too. The fight could’ve been stopped in round 1 via TKO if he just went a little more ground and pound.
@@disgruntledasavior Idk if you’re insanely gullible but every professional athlete is on peds. You can’t fight at the level by being natty. And if you forgot Anderson failed a drug test to. They just got caught I guess they should have hid the evidence better.
Larone I love your work man, but it is unethical to mess with the actual outcome of the fight. This AI bullshit is getting too advanced. Everybody knows Chael Sonnen is undefeated and never lost a single round in his entire career.
A five round beat down by the GOAT. When they say "there's levels to this", this is what they mean. Anderson was probably the best in the world at that time and Chael dominated every minute.
This was actually the first UFC I attended. It was amazing! I went in hating Chael and left respecting the hell outta him. I thought he was all talk and Silva would destroy him but he proved me wrong. Also one of the greatest comeback finishes ever!!
I absolutely love Chael. Wish I got into the UFC/MMA earlier than I did. The way he speaks, and knows exactly what to say, and never stutters. Dude is the trash talk King. Sorry Connor.
Chael literally crushed andersons leg with his neck muscles and you call that a loss? 10:02 Anderson is clearly in pain where im from we dont call that a loss. not in the mean streets of West Linn Oregon
Great video, but mine cut out just before Uncle Chael locked in that bulldog choke and submitted the champ while giving a thumbs up for the camera, which, in my humble opinion, was the best highlight of this fight. Poor show.
This was the first UFC fight I ever went to, it's a memory I'll never forget. The atmosphere was unbelievable I still haven't seen anything else like it. I was a HUGE Matt Hughes fan at the time and I lost my shit when he dropped Almeida and then choked him unconscious. Also, I can still hear the sound of JDS punching Big Country into oblivion. Sounded like he was getting smacked in the head with a bat over and over
This was the first ppv I had bought since around when Liddell lost his title and then Randy went on another one of his hiatus away from the company I simply lost interest until Sonnen came and not only sold this fight but brought excitement to a stale 185 division & had a key role in elevating Anderson to Icon status and one of the greatest mma rivalries ever.
jiu jitsu saved silva because chael couldn't get over it. Like, wrestling got him into the best positions he just didn't know what to do with them. He even had a good choke at some point that he himself messed up
Nobodies? Just because you haven't heard of someone doesn't indicate their lack of ability, it indicates your lack of mma knowledge, mate. Make an effort to watch some of the lesser known fighters and you'll be pleasantly surprised
Maybe I’m missing something but seems at 5:40 AS is completely open for the choke. Even one of Chaels punches puts his right arm in position incidentally.
For all those that say Chael was a horrible striker, watch this fight or his fight with Bisping. He was very competitive on the feet with the GOAT striker. Look what Anderson did to Griffin, he couldn't do that to Chael in over half an hour.
Yeah he outstriked him here. Although had that fear of the takedown. Chael’s boxing although incredibly stiff, was still quite good in mma terms. He’s got pillow fists though.
@@outis439-A True. People act like fighters like Colby, Chael and Khabib had horrible striking but they clearly didn't if they could pressure against some of the best and Khabib knocked down Conor and Chael knocked down Silva.

This is why I can't rule out Juliana against Amanda Nunes even though I picked Amanda Nunes to beat Cyborg. I didn't think Chael had a chance in this fight. Anderson Silva was front kicking Vitor Belfort and played with Forrest Griffin until he knocked him out in 1 minute. Although Chael was a solid wrestler he didn't seem like a guy that would just walk through Forrest Griffin like Anderson did. The almost delusional confidence combined with the relentless style makes me think Juliana and Chael are similar.
