Definitely add the ribbon! You can do both by layering the gingerbread on top of the peppermint ribbon since the peppermint ribbon is wider. Ribbon will definitely bring it all together🎄🎄

Your slippers remind me of some gingerbread ones I saw on the Forever 21 website, but I like my toes to be free, so I didn't order them. I have so many DIY projects to do, but haven't had the motivation to start.
