It’s a paradox: Collins is playing the best tennis of her career, so she should not retire, but it’s only since she announced her retirement that she has begun to play so well.
It’s not a paradox, there’s more to life than tennis and she’s decided to focus on that. She’s one of the few professional athletes that realizes that her profession does not define her. She has the agency to determine her own life goals.
She should have taken on this mind-set about 8 years ago.

Collins' consistency has just been remarkable this season. She's incredibly good on all surfaces. I wish her good health and hope she wins a slam. She's already been in the final of a slam and won a Masters 1000. Hope she does well at one of the slams as she's clearly a threat on all surfaces. Love Danielle's passion and how she celebrates.

The WTA needs Collins. She is the most interesting thing on tour the last two years. She is giving Sharapova vibes this year. We need that energy back on tour it feels lack luster without Serenas and Sharapovas mental fortitude.

Danimal is hitting so well from every side, volleys, serves. Really hope she picks up some more big titles and reaches big finals.
Collins is top 5 "qualitatively" in the world, if he doesn't manage to be top 5 officially until the end of the season, that won't change anything. No player except Iga, Sabalenka and Rybakina is even close to Collins' level.
In WTA Race Ranking she is 4th.

Collins plays like an ATP player. Low bouncing condition in Rome this year favors the aggressive players who hit the ball hard with low net clearance. This is quite obvious for ATP draw.
Vika hope can get final and title but semi well enough.

For years I am following Danielle. On top of excellent technique, she is very smart player and she is aggressive meaning she is a touch component for any top player. Viktoria is not moving very well from corner to corner, and Collins has clear advantage in rallies.
It is a pity she has not won a major yet, and she has only 3 more chances...
Power is never her problem. Consistency is her issue due to health. Health broke her momentum. She could have been ranked higher if she didn’t skip Barcelona and Monte Carlo. She took a month off after the us tour. She knew it was the best for her health.
