I know this was a year ago but I wanted to say She Angelina wanted to Audition at 5yrs and They said She was Too Young. Lol if only they knew. Also she was 7yrs when it ended she was almost 8yrs. Angelina's first time in Studio was at 6yrs Mind Blowing Sultry Good singing I Who Have Nothing. Angelina's song Believe will show you her path even at that 18 month of age. I'm glad you decided to go back and look at the beginnings. These NGT performances at 7 (for gloomy) and 8 (for the others) really show how deep the music is in her. It's like it's just a part of her being. It comes right from her soul. Believe me when I say, with the 6 performances you have done so far, you have not even scratched the surface of the vast library of this little genius. When Angelina sings “Summer Time” I can visual being in a smoke filled 1950’s jazz/blues club, sitting at a small table listening to the din of the background sounds and then Angelina walks on stage. The audience goes dead silent a soon as Angelina sings the first three words. Everyone in the room, including the bar tender and the wait staff stop to listen. The looks on their faces are that of completely mesmerized people.

Thanks so much for doing all four, it's the first time ive come across reactor covering all four NGT performances so nice one from me for that..for your own interest there are some videos of this going around with subtitles on the judges comments. Check them out..suffice to say they're taken aback! One if the judges described Angelina simply as "you are music". I've not come across a more succinct description of this wonderful gift to us all. Good reaction idea! Having them all stand there and listen to Angelina performing a capella must have been some kind of special torture. By the end they must have been wanting to be anywhere else. There are versions of all of these with English subtitles out there. It's worth the time to find them to know what the judges say. Oh, and by the way, the word you are looking for is 'quality'.
Your comment about the old vinyl is spot on. I've said that from the first time I heard her sing these classics. I hope with the signing of her record contract that she is able to record on vinyl. The sound of the needle hitting the record and the initial scratch leading to the anticipated music is what we need from our angel. Great reaction btw.

That was an excellent reaction. You expression shows so well, how blown away you are by her, just as the rest of us. Recommending what to see next, is very hard. Almost all she has made, is in a class of its own. However, "A million years ago", and "Every time we say goodbye", are two of my absolute favorites (apart from the AGT songs). "Every time we say goodbye" is in two versions. I will recommend the one 3 years ago.

Tyler, well done. This was the perfect way to present her participation on Norway's Got Talent. We can actually see and hear her progress as a singer during the competition. Amazing! There's another "double" you might consider doing I believe at the age of 8. The first video is of her singing outdoors at The Nobel Peace Prize Ceremony (in Oslo). She sang What A Wonderful World. It was very cold and despite a carpet for her bare feet and an electric fan to keep her warm she got a cold. The next week she was scheduled to perform at a charity event in Sweden which had to do with Children Bullying. Her family suggested to Angelina that she wold have to cancel her engagement but she insisted she should be there and said she would be okay. She performed and sang I'll Be There to a large, but select audience of donors. Tyler, if you can put those together, back to back, it will be a real treat to you and anyone who watches it. Welcome aboard, Tyler! I can see you'll be enjoying Angelina's career past, present and future like all of us!
Actually, she started NGT at age 7 and turned 8 before the last performance. Her vocal growth only skyrocketed from there. The announcer said she got 46% of all the votes!
What I find most impressive is, we KNOW she could do stupendous acts of musical ability at any point, but she DOESN'T!! She just does exactly what sounds best at every point, no concern for being hugely impressive. Especially surprising level of restraint considering she's eight years old.

And oh yeah, after getting the money prize (about $80K) for winning, she promptly donated the entire check to charity. And since this show, she has helped to raise Millions of dollars for charity. In case you were not aware, she has recently signed with Republic Records, one of the biggest companies in the music industry (Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Drake, Stevie Wonder, Amy Winhouse, et. al.). Other performances were school productions. Also don’t think she was nervous just had a hitch between Angelina and Jordan.

Glad you're on the Angelina Magical Mystery Tour. She says she is never nervous when she sings. She might have hesitated over her name as her name is Angelina Jordan Astar (her mother's last name). You can see her in another video waiting to perform and she is clearly bored. Can you imagine being beat by 8 year old?
In the announcement of the results, even though it's in Norwegian, you can hear the phrase "46%". That's the fraction of the vote Angelina garnered in a field of 10 finalists (they announced the top three in a random order first, just for "dramatic effect"). She didn't just win the competition, she *dominated* it. there is this endless confusion on the order of the performances because grandma labeled the videos. The acapella version in front of the judges is the first sort of who will get to go forward to the stage performances. Without going to look at the comments already made, the first songs were at age 7 and the finals the next year at age 8.
She stumbled saying her name not because of nerves but that it may have been the first time she said her stage name. Her name is Angelina Astar, Jordan is her middle name.
Great reaction Tyler and it's good to hear a northern accent. I just love everything about Angelina, she is totally amazing. We, her fans know all about her and what she is capable off, also the reason behind performing barefoot. You might want to do a little research before your next video. I love all her covers and original songs but two of my favourites are "I put a spell on you" She was 9 at the time and in a studio with a band; it was a tribute to 'Screaming - Jay Hawkins'. That young male judge is Omer Bhatti. He is a Norwegian rapper that goes by O-Bee and you won't believe who his father is. Joe Jackson always said Michael had a love child and recebtly Paris tweeted about the great time she had celebrating her big brother's birthday with pictures of her and Omer. There's quite a bit on Google about him being MJ's child.
Angelina is never nervous. You'll see. :)
She can connect with the original version of the song and still make it her own. By making it her own with the emotion that only she can add she has me in the most beautiful way I have ever experienced in each, and every, performance.

I'm glad you decided to go back and look at the beginnings. These NGT performances at 7 (for gloomy) and 8 (for the others) really show how deep the music is in her. It's like it's just a part of her being. It comes right from her soul. Believe me when I say, with the 6 performances you have done so far, you have not even scratched the surface of the vast library of this little genius. I have lots of things I could recommend next, but really when it comes to Angelina, any video you land on is going to be gold. I look forward to seeing you do more of her stuff :)

At that stage she was progressing so fast that each performance is better than the one before. The last two were just unbelievable!
Actually during the Gloomy Sunday performance Angelina was still seven years old, she turned eight a little later in the competition....
When Angelina sings “Summer Time” I can visual being in a smoke filled 1950’s jazz/blues club, sitting at a small table listening to the din of the background sounds and then Angelina walks on stage. The audience goes dead silent a soon as Angelina sings the first three words. Everyone in the room, including the bar tender and the wait staff stop to listen. The looks on their faces are that of completely mesmerized people.

Check them out..suffice to say they're taken aback! One if the judges described Angelina simply as "you are music". I've not come across a more succinct description of this wonderful gift to us all. Good reaction idea! Having them all stand there and listen to Angelina performing a capella must have been some kind of special torture. By the end they must have been wanting to be anywhere else. There are versions of all of these with English subtitles out there. It's worth the time to find them to know what the judges say. Oh, and by the way, the word you are looking for is 'quality'.

Recommending what to see next, is very hard. Almost all she has made, is in a class of its own. However, "A million years ago", and "Every time we say goodbye", are two of my absolute favorites (apart from the AGT songs). "Every time we say goodbye" is in two versions. I will recommend the one 3 years ago.

For some reason I actually thought they were included in the video. If you go back and look at the individual videos you’ll see the comments that The judges made after each performance. Tyler, well done. This was the perfect way to present her participation on Norway's Got Talent. We can actually see and hear her progress as a singer during the competition. Amazing!
There's another "double" you might consider doing I believe at the age of 8. The first video is of her singing outdoors at The Nobel Peace Prize Ceremony (in Oslo). She sang What A Wonderful World. It was very cold and despite a carpet for her bare feet and an electric fan to keep her warm she got a cold. The next week she was scheduled to perform at a charity event in Sweden which had to do with Children Bullying. Her family suggested to Angelina that she wold have to cancel her engagement but she insisted she should be there and said she would be okay. She performed and sang I'll Be There to a large, but select audience of donors.
Tyler, if you can put those together, back to back, it will be a real treat to you and anyone who watches it.

What I find most impressive is, we KNOW she could do stupendous acts of musical ability at any point, but she DOESN'T!! She just does exactly what sounds best at every point, no concern for being hugely impressive. Especially surprising level of restraint considering she's eight years old.
I wish more reactors would do what you are doing here---react to her entire NGT performance. Great idea! I really enjoyed it. And oh yeah, after getting the money prize (about $80K) for winning, she promptly donated the entire check to charity. And since this show, she has helped to raise Millions of dollars for charity. Gloomy Sunday was her first audition the second was the judge’s cut where they paired down the group. Note that the Gloomy Sunday was the first time she stepped on a public stage. Other performances were school productions. Also don’t think she was nervous just had a hitch between Angelina and Jordan.

In the announcement of the results, even though it's in Norwegian, you can hear the phrase "46%". That's the fraction of the vote Angelina garnered in a field of 10 finalists (they announced the top three in a random order first, just for "dramatic effect"). She didn't just win the competition, she *dominated* it.

Many "child stars" are dragged into the spotlight by their parents. In this case, Angelina dragged her parents into the spotlight. (Well… her mother, anyway. Her father is rarely seen. You can see him in the video I linked to from 1:32 to 1:48 - he's the fair-haired man on the left side of the frame. The dark-haired man that you will often see Angelina with in "behind the scenes" footage is her uncle [Sara's brother] and manager. there is this endless confusion on the order of the performances because grandma labeled the videos. The acapella version in front of the judges is the first sort of who will get to go forward to the stage performances. Without going to look at the comments already made, the first songs were at age 7 and the finals the next year at age 8.

We, her fans know all about her and what she is capable off, also the reason behind performing barefoot. You might want to do a little research before your next video. I love all her covers and original songs but two of my favourites are "I put a spell on you" She was 9 at the time and in a studio with a band; it was a tribute to 'Screaming - Jay Hawkins'.
