It’s on their website but only in the tips section and not on the description of the lamp itself. Gel polish requires UV to cure. Manicurist say the UV is not powerful enough to cause harm, but I’d prefer to see them listing scientifically backed proof of this or explaining their position a bit more on why it’s harmless. And stating that they are selling a UV/LED lamp like other brands do. Just wanted to fact check this point, so everyone can make a fully informed choice.

For a quick compote too, just heat blueberries or raspberries in the microwave, they don't need long to breakdown and make a lovely compote. And you don't need to add any sugar, they are sweet enough.x 😚

I've started using manicurist and I must admit it is way easier than I thought it would be (I'm not the best with these activities) and very easy to remove indeed. Need to work on my technique to perfect it.

Love the rhubarb compote and my fav dessert is plain yog with fruit. The crumble is great and so lovely to take a home made dessert. Can't wait to see George and Petra's house. So sweet of you to be doing a makeover for them. I am so into plants as my parents were keen gardeners and so much pleasure to be had from them and pity anyone who doesn't garden in some way as it brings so much joy. Great to grow your own wedding flowers and have what you want and a country feel to your wedding which will be lovely. I love white flowers like you as they are easy on the eye and classy. You have the setting and the grounds so it will be a huge success. Love what you are planning. xx I am a lover of Lidl and they do have fresh fruit and veg. I don't like most supermarkets. The joy of finding those doughnuts is so much greater than those in a supermarket and how wonderful - bet you loved eating them in the fresh air in your garden - think we all had our mouths watering. Excellent content thanks. Josie you & Charlie have really inspired my cooking mojo! I made (well my daughter helped 😂) a lamb, Stilton and potato pie Easter Monday. Acutely 2 pies the second one was make but cooked today. Yum, yum, yum. I also have made PROPER Scottish shortbread. Also bread pudding for the first time!!! I didn’t on the other hand do all your exercise!!! 😂 well done you! Xxx
If you plan to do the bed yourself, the Frenchic Lazy Range is amazing. One pot would do that entire bed with plenty of leftovers for touch ups. It has primer and finish built in. I would suggest giving the bed a light key sand to help adherence. I would also finish with a Matt varnish for longevity.
Funny you mentioned painting the bed frame, as I was thinking that the whole time you were in there. I’d paint it a brown tone to try to match the rest of the antique furniture. So lovely that you can start gardening already ! We’ve just now finally gotten rid of most of our snow here in Canada. Can’t plant for another six weeks. Torture !
Opaque isn't see thru at all, translucent lets some light and shapes through but is blurry, transparent is fully see thru. :) Just fyi. The nails look lovely! I love all the flowers so much. I love lupins too. We have a natural desert variety that grows in Arizona, they're a gorgeous purple and pop up along the hiking trails at the mountain park near my apartment.

I still have not caught up😔 but in case you see this, lupine also loves water. We live on the ocean and it grows wild. We used to have a water feature where it also grew very well!
A piece of advice if you don't want to wear gloves in the garden (which you absolutely must do to protect your hands!): Beforehand, claw your fingernails in soft soap so that it slides under your nails. Or use a pen for French manicure under the nails. In this way, they do not turn so black or are later claimed by cleaning. And use a hand cream BEFORE gardening. You won't see any big changes in your hands just yet. But with age, all the mistakes in care and exposure to the sun reveal themselves. I am a passionate gardener but ONLY work with gloves and my hands are still pigment free and smooth.

My electrical engineer husband said exactly the same! I've seen fingerless gloves made specifically for protecting hands from UV wavelengths.

You can use Annie Sloan Chalk paint for the bed frame. Her paints are miraculous, and you can wax them for a beautiful finish.
