to answer krism's question from very early in the video, yes playing old games on new tv's monitors really changes the looks. old tv's couldn't display anywhere near the resolution we have now, so images that got blurred into acceptable roundness by low res output and scan lines of the RCA cable era just look spiky and odd now. also warping a 4:3 image onto a 16:9 modern output makes it look even worse.
Krism should look into the old phenomena of pixel blending on CRTs, it made images much more readable all the way up to the ps2 era, which is why we often remember more detailed images for older lower resolutions

(And also some spoilers) In the bad ending James sacrifices himself to stop the Big Bad and the end cutscene shows Edward and Koudelka sharing a tent. The reason that one is considered the canon one is that in Shadow Hearts the character Haley is Koudelka’s son and it’s implied Edward is his father. And when the party goes to Nemeton you can find a grave for James. Also this games continuity is wild. Near as anyone can tell the “canon” timeline is Koudlka (Bad End) - Shadow Hearts (Bad End) - SH: Covenant (Good End) - Shadow Hearts (Good End) - SH: From the New World (which neither ending has been confirmed last I checked)

Honestly, James is the best character purely bc he made us feel something. We may hate him, but that's more than what Edward or the title character made me feel. Anyways, it is always a great time whenever you guys do an older game. Its like a museum piece for video games and it never fails to get me curious and looking up what comes next.

I finished up the watch and just a little fyi this "good" ending isn't actually the canon ending leading into shadow hearts. If you lose to the final battle that is the actual canon ending because James is suppose to sacrifice himself which is why in the first shadow hearts you find his grave. This was a great playthrough to watch and hopefully the game's jankiness wasn't too much of a struggle. This game is a gem for it's time for sure at least 😂❤

Because they are flawed people with there own problems. Times of high stress bring out the worse parts of people. But as they continue to work together, they do open up and began to see things for the others point of view. I think they are really interesting, but it takes time to get to know them.
2:59:54 those letters are super bloody important. Her daughter never got those letters. Her mother doesn't understand what kinda place her kid is in. Her mother was a noble who had a baby out of marriage. The government & church are one in that era. So the religious government take the child so it wouldn't bring shame to that noble house who was very important to the religious government. If word would got out his wife had sex with a man outside of marriage & had a baby by him too.. it's bad for business. So the church government put that baby in a maximum security church prison. You can only guess what happened to her. She's a child in a maximum security prison 😐 full of the worst of the worst criminals. And the guards don't value her life because she was born out of marriage. There was no one there to protect her from abuse. We can used what happens to a 16 or 17 year old when they go to an adult jail as an example because the crime they did was so bad (murder & stuff). They got brutally beat & sa. (If that girl died at sea.. her soul wouldn't be stuck in that jail cell dude.)
When i emulated this one...i play on that turbo when i got inti battles. I'm not going to lie to you 🤷🏾♀️ i ised a GameShark so my weapons didn't break. I had the worst luck. Everything i had was breaking at random & i inly had two weapons left. I was like 3 hours in 🤔 after i had a ton load of weapons i turned it off. Having to grind fir items but everything breaking. I was like no no, whole on now 🤔 GameShark come to my aid 🤣 I can't do it the way y'all did. I was too mad bro.
2:02:11 he was right to shoot him. That guy tried to murder all of them. Edward was mocking the priest about what he said about ungodly people earlier. I like all three of the characters. They're all fault but they have there perks. I like Edward the most. He cuts through both of his teams spiritual bs & doesn't pick sides. He just wants to live for the most part. The female mc & priest are like two heads of a coin. The opposite religious beliefs but both have a cult mindset. They can never be wrong. They're both are a-holes 🤷🏾♀️ one's a right wing one & the other's a left wing one. I love this Scooby gang 😂 but they're going to love each other by the end.
