I worked for topgear as the clean crew up. Any mess, battered debris, car parts or such i had to clean up with my large team race track, topgear test track, adventures, roadtrips and such. Fantastic job it was.
It's always refreshing to see James May crack up. Don't get me wrong, he knows how to have fun, but he's usually the more "serious" and reserved one in the group. That's why a good chuckle from James is sometimes unexpected, and then has more impact. My favorite scene of May laughing is in the (homemade) campervan challenge, where he's driving behind Clarkson and can't contain himself as Jeremy's towervan is trying to hug a large truck.
The best of James May's laughs are in my opinion in "Italian mid-engined supercars for less than a second-hand Mondeo challenge" (S07E04) and "Campervan challenge" (S15E04). I love the "double" sound - the melodic and underlying "grunty".
One of the best ones was the camper van challenge when they go to Cornwall. Clarkson makes that leaning tower of citeron and its wobbling down the motorway. He asks James for help and when it cuts to him his pmsl so bad because Clarksons all over the place
I hardest I've ever seen James May laugh was when he and Oz Clarke were messing around with the language settings on the satnav they were using. Specifically, it was when they reached the Romanian language and every time the Romanian word for "exit," was said, he laughed more and more to the point where he said, "please don't say that again, it's going to kill me," 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
Since Hammond loves camping and this was a contest to arrive first to an empty camping slot, he'd drive so carefully to not ruin the caravan and it wouldn't be as fun to watch
