Lucy's departure actually made me cry. But you guys made it bearable by showing us Lucy in her new home. She was the dog that introduced me to the Asher House. A dog with empty eyes and no idea that life could be more than just existing. AH really changed her and I will miss seeing her so much. But seeing her in her new home, it looks like such a great fit! Best of luck in this next chapter of your life, Lucy! We love you!
I do remember Lucy's rescue. She was beyond heartbroken, completely shut down. Lee and Asherhouse showered her with love and patience. I am so happy to see Lucy doing so well!
I'm going to cry again ! I cried the first time I saw Lucy, she was at the end of all hope, at the end of her rope, she didn't want to live anymore and her rescue was beautiful. She is one of my favorite dog, she deserves so much after all she's been through... I hope she will be very, very happy and loved, I will miss her !
What a fantastic story for this beautiful Angel dog ❤. Thank you Lee and your amazing team for rescuing Lucy and having such a big heart to know to love her is to let her go to a wonderful home with a beautiful couple!
Thank you, LEE ASHER & CREW for rescuing sweet "Lucy-Loo," and giving her love and a beautiful life with you. And now my heart leaps with joy because you did your due diligence to find her the perfect home, not "just anybody" who wanted to take her in. Thank you for making beautiful Lucy girl your first priority! 🙂 Love you guys!

Thanks for showing her in her new home. I was worried when I started watching that she was going to be sad and miss you, but she looks so happy there. Love to Lucy and her new family. Tears again! ❤
Enjoy your beautiful forever home Lucy. It'll be sad to see you go gorgeous girl. But your new adventure in life are just beginning ❤🐾🐶🐾❤👋 Thank you to her new Mum and Dad, Lee and all at the Asher House ❤
You do everything out of love for the animals you rescue - truly a sanctuary in every sense of the word. And now you've gone another mile for Lucy. You never stop giving. Bless you and her new family❤❤❤❤

I loved seeing her tail wag and her big smile. Such a happy girl. Also, I just love how every dog that Lee talks about is “one of his favorite dogs.” 💕
Lucy is absolutely my favorite Asher House dog. I have a sticker with her face on it stuck to my phone. I looked for her in every pack walk video. Sometimes, but rarely, I would spot her and it always made me so happy. I wish her a very happy retirement with her retired parents! Thank you, Lee, for saving our girl and giving her the best life. When you visit her, please do an update video if you can. I would love to see her again sometime.
Excellent news Lucy deserves all the love in her senior years. Thank you for your unwavering commitment and loyalty to these souls Lee. Many of us are rightly proud of the work you do to help them live better lives.
Yay for all Lucy's!! I also have a rescue named Lucy (because she was a "loose" dog--dumped, we think). Also a recent momma, although only a year old :( , and also apparently mistreated (sudden moves made her cower). When you were telling your Lucy that no one will ever hurt her again, I got a lump in my throat. My Lucy hears that all the time, along with what a good girl she is and how much she is loved. All dogs should hear that! So happy for lovely Lucy--she looks so happy!
When I saw the title I literally gasped. I always look for her in every video. There is something so special about her. She looks like she is wrapped in layers of golden silk and has even a softer personality. I had mixed emotions about the adoption news at first. She seems like she would be most happy in a slow and happy home since it seems to match her personality the best. Seeing her new home was so amazing, it brought even more happiness seeing her new sibling, her new mommy with all the beautiful flowers and grass. It’s just perfect for a sweet lady ❤. God bless you Lee.
That is a tremendous transition where the social scene won't be so busy for Lucy. Quiet comfort will be hers. You got her there Lee. You're a person who understands what real love means. What a success story🎇🌹🪻🎇🌹🏖️🐕🌠✝️😍🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈
So happy she's going to a quiet home without kids running around scaring her and she has a brother or sister. They seemed to like each other. 😊 Lee, you helped Lucy with her fears and found her a perfect home. It also nice you live close enough to visit sometime. Bless you, Lucy, and her new family! ❤❤❤
I am absolutely thrilled to know you will be able to visit and follow up on Lucy in the future. She deserves that. Thank you Lee for your love and care of Lucy. She's a favorite and so beautiful! ❤
Once again, Lee, you show us something of the true face of love, which is ultimately about doing what is best for the person or animal who is loved rather than for yourself. We all know how much Lucy meant to you and how you devoted yourself to nursing her back to health and providing her with a secure and happy home, but given her nature and her age, you decided to place her in a quiet loving home, where she can live out the final years of her life in peace and comfort. It is for these meritorious acts that I support and will continue to support you and the Asher House. God bless you.
I'm so happy for Lucy, her new home looks wonderful. Glad you can still visit. Thank you to the people who first rescued Lucy and to Lee & Asher House Team for making Lucy's happiness and wellbeing the top priority. Mind you this is what Lee & Asher House Team do with all animals in their care. ❤
I will never forget the video where the disgusting backyard breeder who originally owned Lucy found out that she was living at AH. (I don't remember the exact story; whatever, he was somehow alerted that AH now had Lucy). And he wanted her back! I can't figure out if he wanted her back to keep breeding her until she croaked or if he wanted to sell her--now that she was a popular rescue dog--to the highest bidder. Lee never explained how he convinced the owner to let Asher House keep Lucy. I'm betting a few hundred dollars changed hands. I was so relieved!
She is smiling truly grinning ear to ear. She is so happy and that is because of you LEE and your AMAZING TEAM. Thank you to her new parents for allowing us to see her in her new forever home. ❤❤❤❤❤
Fantastic! result. I'm so moved by how happy she looks now. Long life and happiness to them all. Well done Lee and all at Asher House from the UK 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Yay for Lucy! She looks comfortable in her new home. I'm glad she also has a doggy sibling to hang out with and just be a happy dog in her new home. Thank you to the new parents for opening up their home and hearts to this sweet girl. Also, thank you to the Asher House for taking care of her in her time of need and helping her become the dog she always should have been.
The video about Lucy’s rescue was the first one I watched on these channel, and I’ve been watching ever since. She seems to really like her new place and her new buddy. Love you, Lucy!
Me too! Lucy was my "gateway" dog to Asher House Dog Rescue. I stumbled on her rescue video and have loved her, and followed AH, ever since. I can see how Asher House--now with over 100 dogs, many young and/or feisty--might no longer be the ideal sanctuary for Lucy, who (I believe) just wants a serene and untroubled life. So happy she found a tranquil, loving forever home.
Yaaayyyyyy Lucy! Congratulations on finding your new forever home and family. I pray you'll be showered every day with tons of hugs and kisses and lots of fun play time with your new furry sibling. 🥰🥰🥰
I am so happy for Lucy!!! After all the horrors she has survived, to finally come home to her perfect loving forever home - nothing short of a miracle! Thank you, Lee
I guess I'm wire differently than most. I'm appalled that after two years, when she has become so attached to Lee, had fully integrated into the pack and already found her perfect loving forever home, she is yet again yanked away from what had now become familiar to her and sent off to start all over again. I find it beyond sad.
@@luciebrisson5881 I'm sure Lucy will be fine. Please trust Lee Asher when he said he does what is "best" for the dog. A dog lives more "in the moment." Human beings live in the past, present and future, and it can really do a job on our emotions. Causes us much anxiety and depression. As a human being, I'd be more like Lucy. Of course, it would be nice to have many people who loved and cared about me, but honestly, I do not enjoy being in huge crowds. I prefer quieter environments with one-on-one interactions or just a few friends or family members at the most. I've been this way all my life. 🙂
@luciebrisson5881 she became attached to him, but she also learned to love and trust others. She gained the confidence she needed. She's now going to be the center of attention at all times with a bestie who she shares a lot of traits with. While the AH does a lot of wonderful things for these dogs and they're all well taken care of, it's hard to give them individual attention. Lucy won't have to compete for attention or feel left out. I'm sure she'll miss Lee and her friends, but she'll gain so much in good home. Lee now has room to rescue another dog.
@@luciebrisson5881 I think what has happened, however, is that due to the crisis with animals overflowing the shelters, Asher House has taken in over 150 animals in a very short time--including a lot of young dogs and yapping puppies. And I suspect this had a somewhat negative effect on Lucy. I know from my dog owning experience that as my dog got older, he became bothered when young dogs came up to him, wanting to play, etc. My dog just wanted to be left in peace! He would snap at them, try to move away, etc. So I think with all the new dogs, Lucy was not thriving quite as much at AH as she initially did. Just my guess. Her new home ensures that she has lots of care, attention, another canine companion, and room to sniff around and explore--all without the bother of dozens of annoying dogs getting in her way and in her face. Also, remember, she was used as a breeder--one litter after another after another. I bet she's pretty happy not having any more young ones around! So I really like this change for her. I believe the reason it happened is because the staff realized AH was not as good a fit for Lucy as it originally was. And when the opportunity to rehome her to a better-fitting situation came up, they took it.
Awww, Lucy, your new home sounds perfect. Thank you to her new family and thank you to the Asher House for everything you did for Lucy and continue to do for so many others. ❤
You are an Amazing compassionate kind human. To be able to let one of your favorite dogs go to a loving home is indeed true love . I'm glad you will get to see her. I Love what you do and who you are. Thank you kind gentle soul.
Awww, I’m so happy for Lucy! 💖 I think she will soon settle in and love her new home. I’m so grateful to the couple for adopting her AND she has a built-in playmate. It seems pretty perfect for our Lucy.
I love 💕 you so much Lucy! I hope you live happily ever after in your new "Forever Home" 🌺 I'm so happy and so sad at the same time. Thank you so much for everything you do for pets in need 👍
Happy tears. Lucy touched my heart and soul from the moment I saw her. I'm so happy to know that she's found her forever home. What a sweet soul she is. Blessings to the family adopting her.❤❤❤
Her story and transformation were compelling. Glad to see you and Lucy find a graceful parting, which warms the heart despite the separation. Mahalo for this gift of an example in life!
Thank you Lee. I've a "Lucy" of my own. I responded to a CL ad for a dog needing special attention. I'm retired so I've got time, energy and love. Emmy was totally shut-down, scared of everything from never, ever being exposed to anything. She was 8 months old and had no clue what a stick or ball was for. She froze when walking in a corridor with a turn to it. Mirror images and basking in the sun were new. Traffic was terrorizing. I'm thinking the family who bought her probably got her from a puppy mill in PA. They had her for two weeks. She was emaciated, her ribs and vertebrae were visible and she had no butt muscles at all. She had to have been like this when they bought her. 8 months later, she's a luv-bucket. She went from traumatized at the dog-park initially to a social butterfly and having the time of her life. She's pretty good at walking main st. and she's just experienced going in the water after being afraid. Watching her become a dog has been the best experience ever. The amount of luv that floats around the house equals the fur fuzz balls we now accept. I forgot to say, Emmy loves watching your recues and pack walks with me.
I am so happy for Lucy. I know that you form a special bond with each and every one that you rescue. You recognizing that she would be happiest in a different environment is the most selfless thing anyone could do. You are truly one of a kind and I am so thankful for you and pray that God continues to bless you and each and every one of your staff members, volunteers and supporters. You are making a difference!

Hurray for Lucy🎉🎉🎉 Great work finding her best furever home! That ‘so awesome!😊
Que linda historia❤
I am so happy for Lucy. I know that you form a special bond with each and every one that you rescue. You recognizing that she would be happiest in a different environment is the most selfless thing anyone could do. You are truly one of a kind and I am so thankful for you and pray that God continues to bless you and each and every one of your staff members, volunteers and supporters. You are making a difference!
