I love how Tite Kubo uses a lot of Spanish words in Bleach, how the Espadas ( Swords in english) or the names of their releases, that are all in Spanish
That's what I love about it two. I like when animes are pulling from secular aspects. The espadas and chad pull from the Spanish language. The dude with the glasses and energy bow and arrows, pulled from the German language. Naruto and sequels had a lot of Japanese mythology mixed in there content. And Digimon had a lot of Christianity and some Buddhism in there content.

Not really...Espada were never truly a match for the captains. They never really pushed Gotei 13 to their limits. Byakuya fodderized one. Unohana never even fought, she could own Stark and Harribel in a 2v1 lol. Shunsui didn't even use half of his power....Kenpachi was never really challenged as well. Mayuri rekt Szayel so hard it's not even funny..... Espada never stood a chance when you look back at it. They would have gotten slaughtered if Gotei 13 didn't fuck around and made a full onserious team of all captains there on the front lines. Heck, Yammamoto can just kill all espada in a 10 vs 1 without much effort. The only real epsada threats are Barragan, who get simply overwhelmed by Yammamoto (the difference in reiatsu is way too vast for hax to win), and Ulquiorra Secunda Etapa, and im pretty confident that Kyoraku can handle Ulquiorra comfortably.

Espada with their boss Aizen is so wasted af.. they have potential to not just beat but would've kill the captains but ending to be wiped out. Not like Akatsuki in Naruto that have killed many important shinobi such as Asuma, some Jinchuriki and the legendary sannin Jiraiya.

This is the problem with lazy writing. Tite Kubo made the Espada so strong that he resorted to some cheap way of defeating them (plot armor for the main characters if you will). Would have been nice also to see the Espada flushed out more and kill some actual captains

I agree they should have had Ulquiorra kill Ichigo in R1 then have Zangetsu come where then Qlquiorra releases R2. It would have been better thought out. Tired of these writers thinking it's not enough to just beat a great Villian down after they are built up. It's okay for Zangetsu to be stronger but it made the SEGUNDA irrelevent ....not cool

All the Esapada were put at a disadvantage: Zomneri was matched up against the worst possible captain he could have gone against byakuya counters his power. Grimjow fought ulqiorra before ichigo which must have taken a little gnoritora fought against Neleil before kenpachi ulqiorra fought a overpowered form of ichigo never used in the series again stark was against multiple opponents as was the other top 2 Espada. Yami the most i mobile espada fought many fast strong shinigami Granz fought against a captain who countered him and the 9th espada was so immobile when he transformed against Rukia who was decently fast and could freeze him and make him even slower.
Yammy: Meh. Had that asspull of being the 0 Espada, which was easily bullshit, as he went down to Byakuya and Kenpachi off-screen, whereas the Top 3 only just went down in 3v1 fights, heck, Harribel didn't even die. 4/10 Aaroniero: Forgettable. His power was only good for temporarily fooling an impressionable Rukia into thinking he was Kaien, then stumping her when he revealed he really was using Kaien's body. Aside from that, Glottoniera was mostly useless, and he got rekt by easily the weakest (at the time) of the group (okay maybe except Chad. 3/10 Szayelaporro: Wasn't too engaging. His battle went on far too long, there were 5 other battles finished while his was going on, and most of it was Renji and Uryu on the floor half dead. The mad scientist gimmick was rather overdone too, having already been a thing for Mayuri and Urahara. 4/10 Zommari: Probably the most forgettable. Had no role to speak of until his fight with Byakuya and no backstory or character was revealed besides the generic "I hollow, you Shinigami, you die". 2/10 Grimmjow: Easily the most fleshed out of the Espada, along with maybe Ulquiorra. A dick, but a loveable one. Took to Ichigo as a rival and equal and didn't really care about Aizen's plan. Interesting powers too. 8/10 Nnoitra: Again, like Grimmjow, a massive douchebag, but a loveable, sympathetic one. Just wanted people to stop looking down on him and to prove himself. Had the whole history with Nel too. 7/10 Ulquiorra: Best Espada. A main villain through the whole Arrancar saga, and his fight with Ichigo had the most investment and stakes out of all the Espada battles. Really needs no explanation. 9/10 Harribel: Would have been forgettable, if not for her flashback and backstory. Interesting powers but that's about all I can say. 6/10 Barraggan: Giant prick, and not a loveable one like Grimmjow/Nnoitra. All of his scenes, including the flashbacks, left me with a bad taste. Not to mention his generic-ass "Angel of Death" powers. 4/10 Starrk: Probably the most decent Espada, personality-wise. He was definitely fighting on the wrong side in the war. Would make a good drinking buddy for Shunsui. 7/10 Gin: Not an Espada, sure. But I had to give someone 10/10, and well, he's Gin.

I agree they should have had Ulquiorra kill Ichigo in R1 then have Zangetsu come where then Qlquiorra releases R2. It would have been better thought out. Tired of these writers thinking it's not enough to just beat a great Villian down after they are built up. It's okay for Zangetsu to be stronger but it made the SEGUNDA irrelevent ....not cool

All the Esapada were put at a disadvantage: Zomneri was matched up against the worst possible captain he could have gone against byakuya counters his power. Grimjow fought ulqiorra before ichigo which must have taken a little gnoritora fought against Neleil before kenpachi ulqiorra fought a overpowered form of ichigo never used in the series again stark was against multiple opponents as was the other top 2 Espada. Yami the most i mobile espada fought many fast strong shinigami Granz fought against a captain who countered him and the 9th espada was so immobile when he transformed against Rukia who was decently fast and could freeze him and make him even slower.
Sometimes i miss those guys..

Yammy: Meh. Had that asspull of being the 0 Espada, which was easily bullshit, as he went down to Byakuya and Kenpachi off-screen, whereas the Top 3 only just went down in 3v1 fights, heck, Harribel didn't even die. 4/10
Aaroniero: Forgettable. His power was only good for temporarily fooling an impressionable Rukia into thinking he was Kaien, then stumping her when he revealed he really was using Kaien's body. Aside from that, Glottoniera was mostly useless, and he got rekt by easily the weakest (at the time) of the group (okay maybe except Chad. 3/10
Szayelaporro: Wasn't too engaging. His battle went on far too long, there were 5 other battles finished while his was going on, and most of it was Renji and Uryu on the floor half dead. The mad scientist gimmick was rather overdone too, having already been a thing for Mayuri and Urahara. 4/10
Zommari: Probably the most forgettable. Had no role to speak of until his fight with Byakuya and no backstory or character was revealed besides the generic "I hollow, you Shinigami, you die". 2/10
Grimmjow: Easily the most fleshed out of the Espada, along with maybe Ulquiorra. A dick, but a loveable one. Took to Ichigo as a rival and equal and didn't really care about Aizen's plan. Interesting powers too. 8/10
Nnoitra: Again, like Grimmjow, a massive douchebag, but a loveable, sympathetic one. Just wanted people to stop looking down on him and to prove himself. Had the whole history with Nel too. 7/10
Ulquiorra: Best Espada. A main villain through the whole Arrancar saga, and his fight with Ichigo had the most investment and stakes out of all the Espada battles. Really needs no explanation. 9/10
Harribel: Would have been forgettable, if not for her flashback and backstory. Interesting powers but that's about all I can say. 6/10
Barraggan: Giant prick, and not a loveable one like Grimmjow/Nnoitra. All of his scenes, including the flashbacks, left me with a bad taste. Not to mention his generic-ass "Angel of Death" powers. 4/10
Starrk: Probably the most decent Espada, personality-wise. He was definitely fighting on the wrong side in the war. Would make a good drinking buddy for Shunsui. 7/10
Gin: Not an Espada, sure. But I had to give someone 10/10, and well, he's Gin.
