I disagree, if you are right handed! You are doing the most dexterity tasks with the right hand. Like thumb breaking, twitching pole, casting and so on. Yet the left only has one simple job of reeling in one direction with different speeds which is super easy to learn that small adjustment. If you are right handed get a left hand retrieve with a gear ratio right in the middle 7.1 or 6.2. Everyone I have thought baitcasting basics has enjoyed, stuck with and never tried it any other way. Even older baitcaster fishermen have switched instead of the old switching hands and controlling spool.

It’s all about preference in my opinion. I was taught very young by my dad who was taught by his dad (my grandpa) and back then they only had right handed bait casters. For most, it’s just what we’re used to and also what feels most comfortable for us. There’s no right or wrong way, just whatever feels best for you!

Most of the people I know who cast right handed and reel right was forced into it by their dads who only had right hand retrieve baitcasters available to them. Most right handed people will cast and manipulate the rod more efficiently with their dominant arm. The rod should held by your dominant arm because casting, twitching, jigging, hook setting, and fighting big fish requires strength and dexterity. If you reel left with a spinner you are more likely to be more comfortable to reel left with a baitcaster because of this.

You not making any sense at all; first you say comfortable it's what focus on then you follow with whatever you think should be thrown out the window... This is dumbest advice ever 😂

Sorry if my explanation was confusing. My main point is that the best baitcaster is the one that feels most comfortable for you personally. Everyone has different preferences, and it’s important to choose what works best for you. Thanks for the feedback - I’ll try to make my advice clearer in future videos!
