Rabbit hair does like to cling to every surface lol. Bars of the window check, goat Pen-itent-dairy nearly complete ha ha ha. Have a great day everyone
LOL THAT is a GREAT name for the space! Hahaha
Heather the new milking area looks great. Yes goats are animals of habit and retain. Happy and healthy mamas and kids coming soon. May all be easy and blissful. Thank you for sharing. Till next time God Bless you all.
Thank you! Got my eyes on Tori this morning!!
Oh the new milking parlor is even better than I imagined! The natural light IS really nice and it has an airy-ness that the former milking and feed storage didn't have. I think it's sweet how Christine and Margot just took a quick look around, recognized the milking stand and knew their anchor spot. But then Stormy! Oh so funny!
Stormy is STILL not sure what to do with the stand 3 days later!
I really like that the goats want to check out the new space. “Hey! You redecorated! I want to see the whole thing. They do know a few things about protecting themselves.
As time goes by, farm things and routines must change. Your new set up is very nice! You are clearly happy with the changes! Hats off to farm husbands for their talented help!
Thank you so much!
I'm guessing Tori is going to be very very early. Possibly tonight at 11:59 pm with 1 male that weights in about 2.3lbs and we'll have to name him Overcast.
I LOVE THE NAME OVERCAST
That was so specific! Lol.
They did good for the first time loading up on that table for milking in a new spot! I can't wait to see babie goats
The way Margie was watching you at 16:44 😂
So excited for Tori babies!
Wasn't that cute? I had to leave it in there!
Tori is so adorable. I can’t wait to see her babies!
Me either! They are a total outcross and should be really nice!
New milking area is looking awesome, the lighting is definitely better Heather! So spacious with lots of potential to do what you like in there. Love the updated wire walls and the hogrings will probably also help keep them from pushing in the chicken wire on that one side too when they're being nosy lol. Nice on the fly mod of the door too for the bottom edge. Great job both of you, will be wonderful when the roofing is updated too. Super excited for Tori, let's goooooooooo.... (and all the rest of course but Tori is first!). 💚💚
Watching Tori on the camera right now! I haven't been down to check their ligaments yet this morning. I'm eager for kidding to start!
What a nice space it turned out to be! I'm sure it will make the milking experience more enjoyable, once the goats learn the new routine. 😄
I realized last night, when I was feeding a bunch of "round bellies", that I did not have enough room at the feed trough for everyone. And I have 6 young does that were not bred for this year. Looks like I need to expand my goat barn. 😉
That would be my advice vs get rid of anyone! More goats? Guess I need a bigger barn lol!!
I am sooo elated to see your barn update, Heather!! I hope it’s exactly what you wanted 🤍 Great job Levi and Heather!
Thank you!!
Can't wait to see the kids this year, I'll be watching for the post! 🐐
Amazing video, amazing space, amazing critters and amazing family. You and Levi make me so proud and happy Heather. 💜👍💜 Aunt Beth
Thank you so much Aunt Beth! I hope to have a kidding video out soon!!! (no labors yet)
Awe. That is a nice way to feel. ❤
Nothing like imminent birthing to hustle us along... LOL!😂 So proud of you kids and how well you care for your animals and your homestead! Been there and did that... started in the '60's until fall 2009. Wish we would of had internet and youtube back then... LOL! SO appreciate getting to tag along with your growing homestead! Blessings on your beautiful family and homestead Kiddos!🌿💚🙏💕👵
Right! I might be motivated by a deadline approaching lol!!
Your new milking parlor looks amazing!!! The lighting is so much better too!!! I cannot wait to see what other improvements you make on your barn later this year! All that hard work is defiantly paying off!!
The roof project feels massive to me but Levi seems really excited!!
@SageandStoneHomestead we need a barn revamp as well! Needs a new roof and an extension would be amazing!!!!
If animals CAN get in trouble...they WILL get in trouble! Prevention is the key! Looks like you guys are covering all the bases. Looks great!
Thank you!!
Wow! I love the new setup Heather ❤ we can now see you bright and pretty. You and Levy work so hard 😊 love you guys 😊❤
All the improvements you are doing are looking great! Excited to see it progress 😀
Thank you, me too! :)
i have Nubians but years ago I had a LaMancha and I loved her so much! She was the best milker!
Looking so good. Well done both of you. It sure will take a bit for the goats to the new are and routine.
Thank you for sharing. Thoughts and Prayers always. Love and Blessings.

Thank you, Doris!!

On a kidding countdown as well! So excited to see what you get! It’s the best and yet most nerve wracking time of year❤

I am genuinely excited for you guys!! This is going to be so much better for your everyday, it was a well thought out plan of space use! 🥳
It looks fantastic!! You both have done a great job. Love the sunshine peaking through in the back while you milk them. ❤
Hard work pays off 💪 looks wonderful 🎉🎉☕🕊️
Thank you!!
I am in love with your new milking parlor! That’s wonderful.
Everything is looking so good.❤

Thanks Aunt Heidi!!
Very nice!
Congratulations you got The milk bar and going. And I'm going to watch and comment as I watch love Mama z
That's how I watch too! Watch videos and comment as I watch :)
@SageandStoneHomestead I love that you're getting it all situated like you like it
Fascinating video - you are both so handy and practical with building and rebuilding. Hope you enjoy all your new space and that your kidding season goes welll
I love it all! Goats are so funny. I also loved that we could hear birds chirping in the background. It was a beautiful day!
SO many birds around lately! I bought cages for my spring brassicas because of it!
It's perfect and so impressive! Everything is open! You guys have been working so hard. Great job, you guys ❤
Thanks so much!!
I could watch your channel all day! It is so inspiring and educational ♥️
That is so kind of you to say!! Thank you so much!
It looks amazing!!🎉
Thank you!!
Hooray for good lighting!
It's the little things!
Hello
thanks for very nice sharing
you are doing very well
keep it up
Exciting!
Indeed!! ♥
Love it!!! Fingers crossed all goes well with Tori!
Thank you!! ♥♥
WOW, the new milking arena looks so good! 😍
Thank you!! I gotta run out there in the rain now haha
We move stuff around a lot too. Things change and you have rework spaces. It seems it is always a work in progress. You guys are so handy. My husband is but at 75 I don’t have the strength I once did but I can milk and clean!
Love the new set up! And how Levi sunk that cattle panel! I hate when I walk by one and the little things stick out and scratch me !
SAME!
It looks great! And the lighting in the new milking area is 👌🏼
The new area looks great!!! We are trying to get the feel for our layout and I think we may need to rearrange. Our girls are not very fond of it lol. We hope to have them load and unload as good as your girls someday.
I laughed out loud when you said goats look for creative ways to die. We raised show sheep and they had the very same problem. Always a problem saving them from themselves. Your new setup is going to be great!
Sheep too?! haha I had no idea they were the same way
@@SageandStoneHomestead yes!
This looks awesome!!
❤❤❤
Oh that new space is awesome! Yep goats are such creatures of habit! And sometimes when I change up the routine they get a little onery trying to go to what they are used to. Will you be closing off the old milk area or leaving it open to the pasture like it is?
It will be open, so they'll have two ways to enter the main area which hopefully will solve some issues that they can have with bullying and guarding the door.
Any babies looking close today? I can not wait for my baby goats.
Tori's udder is pretty darn big!! I've got her in the kidding stall but no active labor yet :)
@ Yay!🎉 Can’t wait. I hope it’s not an all-nighter. 😱🤣
She seems content. Maybe tomorrow!!
@ Cool 🆒
@ ❤️🎉
When do you ween your kids so you can full on milk Mamas. We have 5 week old through 5 day old kids and we milk extra milk right now when we notice they are extra full. But when can we separate babies and milk Mamas?
You can do a kid share from about 2-3 weeks! Separate at night and milk in the morning, mama's have kids all day! :)
I proclaimed a few years ago that I would never buy or use chicken wire again in my whole life! It's so awful to work with
Excited for you! 🎉 May I ask, where’s the best place to purchase milking supplies, like filters and strainer etc.? Also, is there any transfer from the milk to human when you do cdt vacc or selenium vitamin E or jumpstart? Is there anything we should be cautious of if we are consuming the milk from our doe?
I like to use caprine supply for milking and other goat needs. You can find them online! We don't give CD and t because of the thimerisol but the selenium and other vitamin and mineral supplements don't worry me. If you give any medicine or dewormer you'll want to pay attention and adhere to the milk withdrawal times
LMAO "working with chicken wire is always fun". I literally laughed out loud.
Don't you just love a freshly cleaned and bedded stall? How is your elbow doing?
I put heat on my elbow last night and it's getting better now that I'm not using the crimper tool often. Squeezing it with both hands takes stress of it too! Thank you for asking ♥
@@SageandStoneHomestead glad to hear it!
What camera do you use and does it require WiFi or a subscription?
The barn camera is ReoLink and it does require WiFi but no subscription! I have a signal booster in the barn to help with signal. I used a baby monitor for years though and that worked too but I had to sit in one spot in the kitchen and stare at a tiny screen and it was a fixed angle. I love the ReoLink camera though it moves all around and I can turn on a light and even set off an alarm if needed. We livestream with it too.
My camera for videos is a GoPro Hero 12 if that's the camera you meant :) No Wifi or Subscription needed.
@ thank you! I have a baby monitor too but it’s one spot, I’ll look into this camera for once my girls start getting close to kidding. Thanks again.
@nicoleolson2790 you bet!!
