I like the way he is participating in both attacking and defending. I think he should be given one more season at Forest considering that they will play in the PL and he can prove his mettle with them at this stage.

He has more successful tackles in this video than McTominay has in his carrer.
Slate McTominay all you want, but he's one of the team's better tacklers and wins the ball a lot for us.

Phile Foden became a superstar and crucial player for Man City at a very young age under Pep, Curtis Jones is gaining more experience under Kloop and look what Mason Mount become at Chelsea at a young age. If you follow Declan Rice's career he started at a senior level at very young age, now he is a wanted man. Honestly for me James Garner gets a great manager who can unleash him at Man Utd like how Foden (Man City), Curtis Jones (Liverpool), Mason Mount (Chelsea) and Rice (West Ham) honestly he'll be a superstar

If there was ever a perfect home-grown fit for the future of our midfield, it is this kid. I hope Erik ten Hag puts faith in him. He's the closest thing we have to our own Declan Rice.

the only thing that made Rice the capable player he is today is bcoz the team actually trusted him and developed him enough to play we did well to loan James Garner and its not perfect for the project

Except Amad, Amad needs to learn Football Fundamentals in Netherlands, Spain or Germany. He doesn't even have a vision or a system player. He is selfish, always goes dribbling from back to forth, when the ball was caught by the oposing teams he walks like Martial.
Even Rangnick back then was frustrated by Amad when he played him against Young Boys. He shouted "RUN AMAD RUN! GO BACK ON DEFENSE!"
He is not ready to fill in Ten Haag System, he needs to learn better football philosophy at those 3 countries

Erik Ten Hag, should watch this clip. This lad way better than mctominay and fred technically. He seems more adaptable to physical approach in the EPL. MU should stop chasing player that have no heart to play for them like De Jong. MU got nothing to loose using Garner instead of gambling on other expensive foreign player from other league which might be riskier in terms of physical nature in EPL. Furthermore, supporters will understand that this is ETH first season as manager and expection is only to chase for top 4, realistically.

We have this kind of player and we are still looking for DMF
Saw Tchoumeni and now I am wondering why were Man Utd getting linked with him. He's a ball winner granted but what's more attractive is he's trickery. We had Paul Pogba, we didn't do much and Tchoumeni is like 49% Pogba abd 51% NG Kante. Although losing Pogba would be a huge blow that absence can be made up with other players like Fred. So I feel James Garner would be a much better fit according to our requirements of a good sitting DMF and a class set piece delivery guy. I think he would suffice for now under ETH and ETH should give him a chance rather than signing players who play for money only. Also, for most good DMFs like Declan Rice, coming to Man Utd would not be a career progression move, so its impractical for us to think about them. We are not what we were and we forget this when it comes Pogba. And I don't blame him for going but what a MF it would have been with a proper coach and a playing style.
Ofcourse he cant be a starter at United at the moment..but he can be a very useful squad player....considering the departures from United,and limited budget...its a brilliant idea to give promising youngsters a chance....and ten hag is known for that.......

As a Manchester United fan, selling him is disgraceful. Look at all of the other PL teams that have developed their youth players into the players they are now. Foden comes to mind when I say that, but there's loads of examples. I can already tell he'll become a great player at Everton. Will be rooting for him every time he plays. He deserved regular playing time for United this season

I’ve read somewhere that the biggest difference between academy and senior level is you have less space and time to make decision in senior level, hence why you need quick speed of thought to make it in senior level and that’s the reason why trainee which looks good in academy could not cope with senior level. Will he has the same problems to make it in premier league?
Thing is that speed of thought also comes with experience. So the only way to find out is for him to actually play at that level. But he does look a step ahead of the Championship so he's looking promising.
If anything the biggest difference is physical and mentally, you see players unknown do crap for academy but succeed in senior football, and vice versa
He played well against good pl sides in the fa cup like Liverpool and arsenal. This guy is step ahead of the championship and is certantly to good for the league so i think united should give him alot of minutes next season.
watch him play againts liverpool and you will find the answer that he's ready or not

2 new midfielders and Garner will really improve our midfield.. Also he played very well against liverpool arsenal and leister in fa cup which does give me some hope that he can play at that level.
Van De Beek will be back too and Hannibal probably promoted, so Garner and a top DM would be good enough

To be honest I have not watched him a lot so I don’t know enough about him, but given he is already part of our club why not give him a try. The same goes for Donny. We will be lucky to get one top midfielder in the summer so we should give the Hag the chance to make his mind up about the existing players before getting in panic buys.

Everyone calling for this kid to play for Utd is just playing into the owners hands. He's had a season in the Championship where he had a decent season but wasn't in the championship team of the year and didn't get Forest player of the year, Scott McKenna won it ahead of him - would you want Scott McKenna in the Utd defense? If not the idea you would want James Garner in our midfield is just nonsense. He's gpt room to grow and potential but right now that's the calibre of player you are asking them to put in the team - like I said you are playing into the owners hands helping them not spend money on a vital position. Also, you are stunting the players growth by putting so much scrutiny on him early - he should go out on loan again, to a PL team preferably. We should be signing a world class midfielder - Garner shouldn't even have a look in. Stop lowering your expectations.
