Such a joy. My daughter has mentioned how much she’s enjoyed your shared knowledge and wealth of valuable information and that I, 57 years young, would be quite pleased by checking your channel out. She was right. Slowly watching your episodes to catch up but oh my, you’ve done an exceptional job of delivering very informative topics. Bravo...I’ve learned so much! Thank you.
what I really like about you that you are REAL, i mean you give us advices from your personal experiences without promoting for products or so . i wish you all the best justine i really enjoy watching your videos :)
You are a wonderful person Justine 😄 you are a very thoughtful speaker and one of the few RUclipsrs who are so eloquent :) please keep producing your quality content :)
Justine, I have a suggestion for a future video. I would do this myself if I had a channel- choose a woman you know from a decade.,, a teenager, a 20’s woman, 30’s, etc up to 90’s if you know someone. (I would do my 24 yr old daughter, my Mom in her 70’s, my BFF in her 50’s, etc.). Send them into their fav department store to create an outfit in their own style that consists of black bottom, white shirt and accessories. Then you can show photos or video and discuss the differences in personal style, body type, and ages. I would love it!! I enjoy your channel and artist visions and opinions. Sending you the best!
Justine, I have to tell you that I love your videos!! I stumbled upon one of your videos last summer and on a whim I watched it. I was intrigued by your candor and the depth in which you explained things. I watched some more videos and found your positivity refreshing and that is what kept drawing me back to your videos time and time again. After watching most of your past videos I decided to subscribe because I wanted more of those qualities in my life. I am sooo not into fashion (mostly because no one makes clothing to fit my type of body), I am your quintessential frumpy stay at home mom, yet the content of your videos finds relevance in my life and you make them interesting, relatable, and fun. Thank you!! I genuinely look forward to each new video.
I could listen to you speak all day. You are so intelligent and straight forward and your beauty just comes through so naturally. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us.
I have been binge watching your videos, love your personality and no nonsense approach to life and fashion! Keep up the great work, I would love to see a day in your life vlogs and more q&a's! How you do your am to pm skincare and makeup etc. I could watch your videos all day, God bless you Justine, you are a jem!
I’m so glad your videos popped up on my feed. You’re so young, creative and yet wise! You share so much of yourself with a touch of humor. I am learning so much from you, thank you!
Hi Justine! As always I love how honest and inspiring you are! You have great taste and clear thoughts on the things that you like or don’t! Thankyou for your amazing channel
Hi Justine, I only want to say thank you for your videos! I absolutely love them. There are not so many genuine people like you any more and it's a pity. Keep it going!
Thank you Justine! Loved your answers! And you've inspired me to start reading books again! I too want to find something I love doing and to never retire! :)
Dear Justine, we have a complete different taste and I am twice your age, but I am happy to know you and I find yout video's very interesting. This Q and A was lovely. I wish you well. Love from Amsterdamx
Justine your wealth of knowledge for someone so young is marvellous, I agree with other watchers you have this beautiful knack of being so fresh and natural no matter the topic you are videoing. Keep yourself the same Justine because you are a beautiful person.......I ‘m 67 have picked up quite a lot of tips by watching you. Thank you for sharing.
Merci for being open and encouraging. You have inspired me in many areas. I credit you with helping me to be stay classy, grow my hair, take better care of my skin, pare down my closet, etc. and I'm almost 60. I would love to learn a few words in French as well.
Merci, Justine! I love your approach to creativity & to living life in general. Instead of obstacles, you see opportunities, & you make the most of them. Inspiring, as always.
Hi Justine! We're sisters from South Africa and have been binge watching your videos since we found your channel :) Thanks for all the great content - we're learning a ton!
Thank you, Justine, so much for your videos. You have taught me so much with fashion. You speak so down to earth and eloquently. I really appreciate your efforts that you put in your videos. I am hooked!
Hi Justine, I have just found you and am loving your videos. I am a mature viewer, 70 in two weeks but learning so much from you. Binge watching, thank you for sharing your knowledge.
I’m a little bit too obsessed with productivity and organization don’t think I could ever compress into just one book! This works for me: 1 Comprehensive day planner (Erin Condren Life Planner) with major dates and times backed up in google calendar. 1 Bullet journal for diet and fitness with my custom layouts. 1 bullet journal for everything else from blog post schedule, movies I want to watch, books I want to read, budget, and even a mood tracker. 1 small jotting journal for every little idea I may have because I don’t want a mess of sticky notes. Anything I do end up writing haphazardly gets pinned on the wall and taken down when it’s been written in the proper place. 💕💕💕
Great video as always Justine! The way I keep all my "journal" items, work files, recipes, pictures etc in one place is the Google Drive. Not sure if that's your style but it's both a central storage place and a great backup for work files. Using it has seriously made my life easier.
Thank you Justine. I enjoy all your videos and this one was substantial for me. Every questions and answer was valuable. Plus I had a good laugh at myself. I was the person who asked you about your possible connection to the design house of "Channel" when you released your introductory video a month or two ago. Until you spoke in this video about your RUclips "channel" I had not even thought of this word. And I figured out my error.
Hi Justine. Thank you for another great video! Regarding the comment about keeping your ideas, goals, etc. all in one place, I've been using an old MS Office tool: OneNote. It looks like a notebook with separate sections and pges, where you can type, draw, paste pictures and many other things. Everyting is syncronized in a cloud service of you choice and you can access everything from your pc, tablet or smartphone at anytime, even when you do not have access to internet. Next time you go online it will syncronize all your changes or new inputs. You can even password a section if you want. Works great for me. Take care. 😊
Justine, loved this. Your answers are always so articulate. Loved all the books. Most of them look so very interesting; especially the Japanese diary. Thank you. Cheers
It was fun to learn more about you as a person. You have a great attitude about building a life/work you don't ever want to retire from...I look forward to your next Q&A video.
Great video content again , as always . I first watched you for excellent fashion tips but I’m chuckling to myself now because I find you have become somewhat of a LifeCoach person to me now . Your calm wisdom encompassing size , beauty , color , books and culture is enriching and nurturing in the simplest way . Adore you .
I live in the Berlin area also and this is the first year I did not get SAD for some reason. The only thing I can think of is that there was no proper snow this year. And the cold months are my favorite anyway. So my mental state seems to stabilize my mood around this time of year. But I came from the south in the US, so there were several years of adjustments in the beginning.
I didn't want this video to end. I could listen to you speak for hours, sharing your insights and knowledge on varied subjects. It's interesting for me to know your thoughts on yourself when you think of the future. I have similar thoughts: I'm in a cosy house near a water body (probably a beach, but water is necessary), reading a book. I'm not actually "working" per se, but like you said, I don't ever want to stop doing what I do. Do you think of a life partner in these scenarios? I don't. And, what about children?
Hello, I felt the same way about this video. And I love Justine’s honesty, intelligence and kindness. I also wish to work until I die. I cannot picture myself as an old woman, I believe I will somehow die as a middle aged woman. Greetings to Justine and to all fellow subscribers.
Justine, it’d be really cute if you spoke French a little more often (maybe a full video in French with subtitles?), or if you could teach us a word in French in every/every other video 💜 I’d love that! I love it when you speak French to us! Lol
The BEST way to keep a journal of ALL your scattered ideas is to stick all your pieces of paper into one book/journal, like I do. I am extremely creative and I have little bits of paper everywhere (as ideas strike at any time) and then at the end of the week I compile them into one place with sticky-tape. You can add fabrics, photos and other bits to it like a collage in a non-stop journal, without loosing anything. I've been doing this for decades. I have one for fashion and make-up, one for art, one for life and one for work. I hope this helps, you have given me so many great ideas in your videos, I thought it only fair to give you my best idea back (even if I'm over a year late). Good luck.
I really enjoyed this video, Justine. With each video I learn so much and feel like I get to know you better, too. It is almost like becoming friends. Thank you for taking the time and making the effort to do what you do. You are exceptional!
Hi Justine! If I could I'd have given thousands thumbs up!!! You're the smartest bloger ever!Thank you for the inspiration and all the fun you give us)
Bonjour Justine, it might get redundant, but thank you for this inspirational video and all of them. It is always a pleasure seeing your videos dans lequel vous avez toujours le sourire, la bonne humeur and kind intentions. It must not always be easy to deliver the same "standard"/tone/frame in each video. But you do ! Your videos are professional and smart. I always know what to look up too when I click on your videos (if it makes sense). Your videos always make me think: weither on my wardrobe, my style, my impact as a buyer, my future career, my future book to read, or a future web site to look at ! Je suis impatiente de visionner vos prochains vidéos. Merci d'avoir créer cette communauté. Bisou de Montréal
Great video, thank you very mch for taking the time to do all this. I liked how close you look in camera, I appreciate your honest and direct answers. Much love to you!
Hi Justin, and thank you. About the sun and D vitamine : I found that what I really need is direct sunlight on my closed eyelids, even for a minute, and many times you have that even in winter. The minute you notice the sun is out of the clouds - jump off your chair and go to be in it - it made a world of difference for me. Much luck and health to you.
Lovely question and answer video. Also, loved the book recommendations. Enjoy all of your videos...really. Find them, informative and entertaining at the same time. Perfectly balanced. Thank you for being on RUclips!
My first favorite book was “1984,” and my second is “The Count of Monte Cristo.” I too believe “1984” is very relevant today. Great video- honest, refreshing, intelligent, and fun to hear your carefree laughter.
Justine, another lovely video! Thank you. I hope there will be more than 4 Q & As in the year from you because I really love your recommendations and respect your opinion. Thank you for the book recommendations, I will definitely check out Simone de Beauvoir's and Nicolas Bouvier's books as my French has got a bit rusty lately and also the photographer's playbook. Wishing you continued success as always xx
I have the Ines de la Fressange book as well, it's wonderful! She and Charlotte Casiraghi are my forever style icons 😍 I find it very relaxing to listen to Harry Potter audiobooks because I know the story so well and it keeps my mind from wandering off. 😊
Thank you Justine for everything you do! You have helped me buy better but also helped bring back my dream of being a store owner and carry ethically made and indie made products. Fast fashion needs to go and and the workers need to be treated good in all aspects.
Thoroughly enjoyed this and getting to know more about you. Perhaps do more Q&A’s? I’m interested in the books you talked about and truly love your work. X Deb
Hi Justine! Have you tried Evernote? I used to have separate notebooks too for ideas, recipes, etc. Now they are all in one place. Here's a few things I like about it: 1) tagging feature - makes it easy to search content from my notes; 2) cloud based - I can add notes wherever I am; 3) the companion apps - Skitch (for drawing/sketching) and Scannable (for scanning using your phone's camera). Been using it for 3-4 years now and have never looked back. :)
I just finished reading 1984 and I felt exactly as you described about the tech world nowadays. I recommend you to watch the serie Black Mirror. It's very related. Great channel you have. Congratulations to everything you accomplish!
I seriously just ordered the photography assignments book! I love photography and I have been working to build a business on the side of college and work. Thank you for sharing your interests and hobbies! I’m so glad to have heard of something else to help me learn and grow in fashion and photography! So fun that I found both on your channel. Thank you.
Your mini book collection is wonderful. So many topics and angles on things, it made my world bigger just listening to you talk about them! We get caught in loops sometimes, 'vicious circles' like you say, so thank you for reminding me to wake up and read more widely. :)
Dear Justine, thank you very much for your videos! I really enjoy wathcing them and they are really inspiring. I've alredy found some of the books you've mentioned today))) I like the way you express and explain your point of view and that it is always based on really good reasons. Your videos are always very informative. Sometimes I want them to be longer, but I think that it is really ok now. They do not overwhelm you with information . So Thank you!!))) lots of love from Belarus.
P.S. I'd like to say that I miss your French series. Are you going to make some ? and I also was thinking about all your videos and I like those where you explain how to check the quality of different things. So I would like to ask you if you could make something similar about perfume? (types, ingredients ...etc)
I just discovered your channel and I’m so glad! I love that you can laugh at yourself and that you’re very honest-it’s refreshing 😁 Looking forward to future videos 👍🏻👍🏻
Omg your smile❤️ Been binge watching lately your videos and could write under each one that it is your smile that gives them joy. Every time you smile or even better laugh, I feel like I’m with my best friends. You are truly so beautiful inside and out. Love from Riga, Latvia
Thank you so much for this video. I dabble in photography and that "playbook" seems to be exactly what I need. It is so enjoyable to listen to you and see how enthusiastic you are about the things you talk about. Its strange to say but I feel sort of structured and prepared to give my passions more room in my life after watching your videos.
Hi Justine! Thanks for making this video - I loved it! You’re such an inspiration and I love listening to your intelligent narrative about ethics, fashion and culture. I will definitely check out a few of your book recommendations. 💕
I look forward to taking a look at some of your book recommendations. Thank you. I love how you are wearing your jewelry collection. I have nearly all of your pieces and I love them!!
I am always smiling when watching your videos. You are so natural and real with no hidden agenda to try promote a product. Your presentation style is so easy to follow and I love your laughs in between-makes me laugh too 😂. sorry if I sound like a stalker 😁😁 I just wanted to share how amazing your videos are. So educational and fun! Thanks and All the best always!
Loved ur answers.About the journal/diary thing,I keep a small sized one (about the size of a 5.5 inch smartphone but it can be as thick as u wish)so that I can have it with me in my bag wherever I go and jot down whenevr I need to. And u know what,I Love Japan too!!hanami and okinawa and shinto temples, shinkansen, the beautiful countryside!!!!🤗
Hi Justine! It's great to watch your videos everytime they come out, I don't even remember how I found them but now I dont miss any. About the journal, for six months or so I've been using a traveler's notebook, which is basically a lether cover with elastics that allows you to carry different inserts (aka notebooks) on it. Mine are separated by topics, so I have one for my agenda/bullet journal, for my dissertation ideas, for work, etc. Hope it helps :) Love from Mexico
Hi Justine, thank you for your videos here! You help me a lot with my style and you inspire me in my own creativity (crocheted clothes, embroidery...). I am starting do it for sale, thank to you! According one notebook for all: Since school, I have one "karis book" with six rings in the middle, where the papers are attached. I have a refill for the current calendar, contacts, notes, blank papers for drawing (I put an A4 half-folded there), etc. And I orient myself in it with the help of colored bookmarks. The whole thing closes with a clip, there is a pencil loop and a pocket for business cards. At home, I sort the papers from time to time, put them in storage folders, or throw them away if I've already done so and fill them with clean ones. It is leather, so it looks great even after 15 years... ;) I wish you fun and succes in your work and thank you very much! :)
Justine, Great Q&A. So fresh. A wide variety of questions to answer and for your viewers to think about as well. #bookrecommendation All the Light We Cannot See. WWII YA novel. A German boy and a French girl. Their lives impacted by the war travel until by chance they meet. Excellent writing, vivid story telling, war from a child’s view. It is courageous and sad. Since you are French, living in Germany you might really enjoy it.
A tip for keeping all your notes in one place: Traveler's journal! It's perfect for both private thoughts and notes and you can use as an agenda for work. You can use it to draw and doodle. It usually come with 3 notebooks but it,s easily adjustable.
Justine, this was just great! So thoughtful and informative. I am going to read the books you suggested - such a nice variety. By the way, your makeup looks beautiful and your jewelry looks fantastic. I ordered one of your necklaces last week. I can't wait to get it! All the best to you!
When she said that, I almost cry, it felt she could read my soul. So nice to read your comment as well! When I say those things, people look at me as I went crazy.
Dear Justine, I loved your answer on „where do you see yourself in 10 years” I totally agree with you and I hope that is going to be my goal as well. My Book recommendation is „Der alte Garten“ by Marie-Louise Kaschnitz and „Cider with Rosie“ or same Book in German „Des Sommers ganze Fülle“ by Laurie Lee.
Wow thank you for sharing your thoughts, would love see some hairstyles you do when you go for meetings and out with your friends. Thank you again, look forward to more as usual.. 👌🏻😊🙏🏻
Sherman Alexie is a great Native American author. He has many great books. I always recommend him especially if someone wants a view into the lives of Aboriginal Americans.
Adelheid Adel my favourites are of course “absolutely true diary of a part-time Indian” and then “reservation blues” the collection “water flowing home” is also good.
Thank you for all the beautiful books you shared, I couldn't do anything but save everything to my "to read" list :D excellent taste! Always very inspiring :)
I love your book tips. Any time I've received book tips so far people only seem to remember fiction (or maybe they don't really read that much non-fiction). I'm happy that you've shown me so many books I've never heard of before and I'm looking forward expanding my book reading horizon :)

Hi Justine, I only want to say thank you for your videos! I absolutely love them. There are not so many genuine people like you any more and it's a pity. Keep it going!
Every answer is a gem. My favorite was the tip about capturing joy.
I'll check out your recommended books.
Everytime I work from home I watch your channel while I am working. I love your videos :) very helpful info! Take care, greetings from Costa Rica

it is a funny book - not humorous as such but the situations and his thoughts are entertaining :-)
It was fun to learn more about you as a person. You have a great attitude about building a life/work you don't ever want to retire from...I look forward to your next Q&A video.
Yaay for Simone de Beauvoir! I love her memos. A really impressive woman. Thanks for this fascinating QA Justine.

sweet thanks for so many compliments...!
ursula barnard I agree and I have to be old enough to be her mother.
Diana Rosas Me too ! I’m definitely old enough to be her mother !
"y would u want to retire, if u love what u do" oh I love that.
Keep going Justine and thanku for sharing ur knowledge and work.

?!... but this winter is grey, all grey, everyday! For me, it is the opposite: I'd rather take -15° but sunny :-)

I am not sure, I see colors and feelings rather than a precise occupation or particular people... It is missing a direction 😅.
How could one be missing a direction when one found their purpose in life? Is this getting too philosophical? lol

"1984" is my favourite book too:))) thank you for so many answers!
Love learning more about you. Keep the book recommendations coming as well! Thank you for sharing :)
Thank you so much. I have enjoyed your videos because they are honest, refreshing, and fun!
Your authenticity is sooo beautiful!
I really enjoy hearing you talk!
I love that you can laugh at yourself and that you’re very honest-it’s refreshing 😁 Looking forward to future videos 👍🏻👍🏻
welcome to this channel!
Omg your smile❤️ Been binge watching lately your videos and could write under each one that it is your smile that gives them joy. Every time you smile or even better laugh, I feel like I’m with my best friends. You are truly so beautiful inside and out. Love from Riga, Latvia
Justine, I hit the like button before I even finish watching your content... You are so authentic ❤️
Thank you for your thoughts and for sharing of yourself, I always look forward to your videos. Much regard.
It's such a joy to watch your videos. I feel as if I am meeting my good friend. Love you Justine ❤☺
Hey! This is a kinda random question but I watched your video on cleaning shoes, and wondered what advice you had for cleaning the inside of shoes?
Rocknalldatime99
#q&A for her next one. I would like to know this as well. Right now I use a damp cloth or a baby wipe.

Justine, I simply adore everything you do!
Hope it helps :)
Love from Mexico
Great video as usual, love the book recomendations 😊
Justine,
Great Q&A.
Yeay new video. Thank you for the inspiration.
I am patient to Waiting my question in previous video reply. :D hello from Bali
Justine, this was just great! So thoughtful and informative. I am going to read the books you suggested - such a nice variety. By the way, your makeup looks beautiful and your jewelry looks fantastic. I ordered one of your necklaces last week. I can't wait to get it! All the best to you!
Justine, I love your videos! Never miss them, keep up the good work! 😉 Greetings from California!
Trying to build the same life... to love what I do and never retire
ᏆᎾᏗᎣᎭ O.o haha i just read of this author a couple days ago. I’m very curious about his books which one I want to read first. Can you recommend one?
Adelheid Adel my favourites are of course “absolutely true diary of a part-time Indian” and then “reservation blues” the collection “water flowing home” is also good.
ᏆᎾᏗᎣᎭ O.o ᏆᎾᏗᎣᎭ O.o thanks a lot. I think I’m going to start with ‘absolutely true diary of a part time indian’

Aammaazziinngg!! One of my fave video. Luv Q&A type of vids. Pls do more of these. 😊💕
very well! :-)
I love your book tips. Any time I've received book tips so far people only seem to remember fiction (or maybe they don't really read that much non-fiction). I'm happy that you've shown me so many books I've never heard of before and I'm looking forward expanding my book reading horizon :)
