- Friday's video is on Cold Weather Clothing for Classic Camping. I also shot this footage of my sleepwear, but I couldn't find a way to seamlessly fit it into the large video, so I made this shorter one as kind of an intro.

Morning Sarge, after I asked about the eggs I ordered some dehydrated eggs and tried some. They are actually much better than the ones that I ate in the army. Now I’m looking forward to trying them in some baked goods. I appreciate the feedback.
I think the ones we had in the Army tasted the way they did because they made dozens at one time, whereas we make them two at a time and generally with bacon or other fatty meat. In baking, there's absolutely no difference in taste.
Yay! You got the T-shirt!!
Yes indeedy. Love it.
I like your sound effects. The technical difficulties one took me back to laying in front of the TV as a kid in the 1970's.
Thanks! It took me a bit to figure out what happened, and then how to fix it. Technical difficulties were what I came up with.
It's - 14 with a - 35 windchill right now. It will be much worse by morning. Time rabbit fur robes/blanket, wool blanket and wool union suit. Not to mention a leanto with a truck load of firewood. Actually I read about a double tent with a small stove that would be much better. A guy brought a man and his daughter out of northern Canada down to Winnepeg after freeze up.
I don't even want to think about temps like that, but I know they exist. I left NH for TX because of temps like those.
Thanks for watching!
@@sargevining As a point of history woven rabbit fur was an old tech still used in the early 20th century. In Canada you were wise to pay a member of the Cree to make one. Not sure if Hudson Bay sold them. Here is a video of them making one in New Mexico. ruclips.net/video/hUsZYyGt7Is/видео.htmlsi=RsYNHdUDcCaFLVp8
hey Sarge, ya hit the nail right on the head.
Thanks! It took a few cold nights to learn those lessons, though. Thanks for watching!
Mtn man here watching 👍👍 that's right u do what u can to survive on
Being dead does have its disadvantages--
Great Video Sarge. Thanks and Be Safe!
I wake up every morning thanking God for not killing me on any of those chances I gave him to---and for the lesson He taught me when He did. Learning those lessons is what keeps me safe.
Thanks for watching!
@@sargevining Amen Brother!
Ya man coverthe noggin and stay warm
Probably the most important aspect of dressing for cold weather.
THIS is a different video format! My question is: what is the source of that fine cabin facade you have been using?? It makes a fine way to enter your 'studio'.
I shot in vertical format because most of Friday's video is me standing in the woods describing the clothing and why I chose it. Horizontal isn't the best way to show that kind of thing. The cabin is stock footage I found on the net. I wanted to make things a bit more "cabin-y". I had to add in the crunchy gravel walking sound effect.
Hey hey
Very few will get that reference, but I do.
Thanks for watching!
