Good review! Just put in an order. I saw in an old video of yours that you usually smoke one bowl a day. Is that still true or have you increased or decreased any in recent years?
Mine was not a crumble cake. It was pretty much broken up in my tin. It smelled great, very much agree with you on the scent. At first I was like warm on it, but as I have I have worked through the tin it has really grown on me.
Bradley, seems like old times. You even brought back the deep "announcer's voice" for the tin description! Doesn't sound like my dish of tea, but a great review nonetheless.
Your description of Down Yonder reminds me of Rattray's Dark Fragrant which is basically cavendished Virginia with some Perique. The flavor is pretty simple and subtle, but I have enjoyed it quite a bit in the past. SPC Down Yonder would surely be easier to find. One note: as someone who grew up in a place where the word "yonder" was used regularly, "over yonder" doesn't refer to some long distance; "over yonder" just means "over there" or "over that a ways." To me "down yonder" implies "over yonder" but with a drop in elevation. But, you know, words can just mean whatever. Thanks for putting out good content all these years.
I bought a tin of that, I read dark and thought dark VA. It technically is a dark Va I guess. If I'm going to smoke some Cavendish I'll just buy bulk, no need to tin it!
@@AllofJudea, the first tin I had I really liked and smoked right through it. I opened another a while back, and it's just sitting over yonder on the shelf. But, this has got me thinking that I'll give it another go. Cheers
thanks for the review big pappa bradley. is that dunhill new? when WAS the last time you bought a new pipe? i have about 30 total and cant relate to the people who say "oh, i have around 200 pipes... fiddle dee-dee!!" (not that theres anything wrong with that).
You should try and get SPC Rainier Levant. It's a Balkan Blend. In my opinion it has the strongest Flavor and smell out of all the SPC Blends. I love Seattle Pipe Club, but for some reason they always make my lips numb. Have you ever had a blend that numbs your lips?
Hello Bradly, love your content and your work. I think in youtube pipe community you have the best and most useful tobacco reviews. Could you consider to have a review on Mac Baren's Scottish Mixture Blend? I'd love to hear your thoughts on this one.
I had SPC's give me liberty mold on me. Their blends are always absurdly wet out of the tin when I get them, it's really no wonder they get mold when you have to dry them out for 2 hours before their smokable.
No offense but the word “yonder” just doesn’t roll off the tongue of someone not from the South or Appalachia. Never thought a Kentuckian would be in the position to tell someone from the Northwest that their accent just sounds weird haha
Love the channel. Subbed for the tobacco reviews
Thanks for the sub!
You should try C and D autum evening
That's a pretty heavy aromatic. I can definitely taste the maple but it goes with the red Virginia nicely.👌

It varies widely! Usually at least one in the morning and one in the evening though.

Thanks for sharing!
So basically a good summer blend. Some flavor but not overbearing for the heat of summer. Sounds like I'm saving mine for next summer
Wow, sounds like something i would really like.
Hi, would you be kind enough to try out mixing 50/50 some Squadron Leader & Winslow #3 and let us know your thoughts 😁

Great review! Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
Thanks for watching!

That's always been my understanding as well. "Over there a ways." Not that I use the word often!
The Bradley Translator: “It’s fine… wouldn’t buy it again.” 😂
Where’s the best place to get pipe tobacco in Washington State (since online stores won’t ship to us)?
Thunderbird cigar in tacoma, or smokey Joe's in fife is a couple places I know. Hope that helps

It's been several years! I've been very lucky to have quite a few amazing pipes sent to me by generous viewers.
Short and sweet review. I can't ever get a hold of this blend (Norway), but still interesting.
Thanks for watching!

I will definitely keep that in mind! Numb? Not that I can recall.

Thanks so much, and I will definitely keep that in mind!
Good for a beginner smoker?
I don't see why not. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for sharing, I'll skip a review of this one, cheers!
When was the last time you ate a stewed Prune? LOL
Haha! Probably as a baby (baby food). Haven't had it since though!
Seems to be quite a few posts showing mold in the tins. A shame because it sounded good but for now I’ll pass on this one. Thanks for the review B!
I've gotten several comments about that!
Miami Connection
Friends forever!
Word on the street is that this is prone to mold
the street is correct in this case. ive seen horrible photos that would turn you white!!!
They must be taking notes from C&D Steamworks

My tin was fine, but I have seen several comments saying the same thing.

I could put on the accent, but yeah, doesn't sound right in the PNW accent!
