I'm so glad I found your video as I'll be at UVa this fall! I was wondering if you have any suggestion on places I can go to for furniture (beds, desks, etc.)? I have an unfurnished room, so I may buy early, then buy the rest when I get to UVa. Thanks in advance for any tips! :-)
I know a lot of people get their furniture from IKEA and Amazon. I would check online for the best prices (For instance I got a super cheap bed frame online at Walmart for my unfurnished home). Another great resource would be craigslist or UVA's free and for sale page on Facebook. A lot of students move from place to place and want to get rid of furniture so they'll either give it to you for free or you can find great things super cheap!

Just a quick question, is there a way to show you prefer newer dorms? I really want to get into a new hall and I don't know how to increase my chances.
You can choose preference for a double, single, or 4/6 person option, choose double. But that doesn't increase your chances between new and old dorms
Do you know anything about the transfer dorms? Are they "old dorms"
It depends what year you are transferring as, as a first year you can be put in any of the dorms but if you are a second year or older you will most likely be put in apartment style campus housing or a residential college
Hi! Does the wardrobe come with the mirror inside? And if t does, is it a completely full-length mirror?
Yes! You don't have to worry about bringing your own!
+iheartchocolate143 Actually, it depends on your dorm. I live in new dorms but there are no mirrors in the wardrobes.

You get randomly assigned!

I just washed them in the bathrooms, but they also have a communal kitchen on the first floor

How diverse is uva
You can find actual statistics on their website but it's still largely white. But you can definitely find people of different races and ethnicities
