this song sounds so fragile. like its on the verge of tears for a million different reasons at once
one of my closest friends lives in nebraska. i live in virginia. they were sent to a hospital for mental treatment for the next few months on thursday. i first heard this song last night. ive been crying and listening to this on repeat for hours. i havent cried in months. thank you jake, you finally made me feel something.
edit: they were in the hospital until late september. every day im more greatful for when they came home. theyve been back and better and i dont mind that it all got so melancholy, because i dont have to live that moment anymore.

It seems as though he's trying to say that he could only find meaning and comfort when he wasn't anxiously trying to find it. That last line fucks hard.

This is nice.
This band heals the hole that the hiatus up of Modern Baseball left. And today while trying to remember why they went on hiatus talking to my sibling I discover that the singer and guitarist of this band... was the guitarist of MB. AND THE BASSIST FROM MB IS IN HERE TO??

I think this album will one day be a cult classic. I keep returning to it, though when it first came out I wasn't entirely enthused. It seems that these songs can quietly seep into your soul, not letting you forget their simple profundity.
