Thanks for calling out the bike snobs. It can't be said enough. Bike sharing is populism at its best. The bike is one of the most liberating tools ever built.

I like the bike share stuff. Used them a lot when I visited London. My city has the dockless ones though and they just end up everywhere, strewn across pavements, in the river. And while they're a reasonable price per mile, you have to buy the app for £30 ($40US) before you can start
MidtownSkyport same here! I like the ones with the designated stations. We have dockless ones where I live as well, by like 5 different companies in a relatively small city and most of them suck. Bad quality, they end up everywhere and don't get collected regularly enough. Plus they block the public bike parking spots. I don't like them at all, but I do like the concept of bike sharing it just needs to be done properly.
That sounds unfortunate. It seems that the docking system works pretty well.

The only problem I have with bike shares is that a lot of people don’t really know the “etiquette” of riding in town. I’ve had so many instances of groups of people taking up the whole bike path/bike lane. The worst is when they’re heading the opposite direction and bottle neck everything. Aside from that I’m super down with them
