That was fun. Not sure I would be brave enough to enter an elevator that is clearly malfunctioning, but I commend your courage and dedication to your audience. I'm also glad that such a massive structure was preserved.
2:13 An entire, brand-new Tube station to explore at Battersea and what does Morthren do? Heads straight to the nearest elevator! I'm so proud. As would be so typical of a public works project here in the United States, the elevator has issues. Was expecting to see Morthren whip out some tools, go up top, and put the sucker in proper working order. Then the power went out. (Full disclosure: when the caption "Battery died" popped up on my screen, for a brief second I though it was my cellphone. Idiot.) Thanks for clarifying the significance behind the pig. So sad to learn that it gave its life to the making of this presentation.
Been watching the construction and regeneration at Nine Elms and Battersea Power Station for a long time now. It's great to see the expansion of the tube network South of the River and can't wait to have a ride on the extension!
Not a clue. Here in the United States, the only gravy train I'm familiar with is the massive welfare state created during the 1960s as part of the (so-called) Great Society.
Interesting. Up here they demolished Blyth Power Station despite Historic England wanting it saved. The power station at Blyth was a leader in coal generating technology and why it was looked at being saved. Unfortunately costs saw to its demolition. Historic England did a complete photographic survey of Blyth Power Station prior to any demolition works so at least the groundbreaking machinery and ideas were recorded. I've personally contacted Historic England in an attempt to access that photographic database and they said no!! I'm a local historian at Blyth and them doing that is somewhat annoying..
Come in here, dear boy, have a cigar You're gonna go far, you're gonna fly You're never gonna die You're gonna make it if you try They're gonna love you Well I've always had a deep respect And I mean that most sincerely The band is just fantastic That is really what I think Oh by the way, which one's pink? And did we tell you the name of the game, boy We call it 'riding the gravy train' We're just knocked out We heard about the sell out You gotta get an album out You owe it to the people We're so happy we can hardly count Everybody else is just green Have you seen the chart? It's a helluva start It could be made into a monster If we all pull together as a team And did we tell you the name of the game, boy We call it 'riding the gravy train'
Great video! Really interesting to see the extension of the Northern Line. Also, I love that your pig went for a Burton, just like Pink Floyd's pig!

Nice. So pleased that Battersea Power Station and Nine Elms Station is now fully opened and the extended Northern Line is now fully operational.

Hi can you upload a video on Southeastern please
when are you uploading again?
The voice sounds pretty weird, either they've switched person, or Emma Clarke has gotten older.
They’ve switched person because the original person (not Emma Clarke) died in January 2021.
Wot,no new vids. Are things ok mate?
Cheers.
This touched me deeper than my uncle...
I'm from Thailand and I will visit Battersea Power Station rather than Buckingham Palace
Battersea power station station?
