The old ones are dead and the bass did not work.
This video is just to show you that you do not remove seats like in some of the videos and minimal panel removal. I sit on the seats making it much easier to install the speaker and no strain back muscles.
This is not a full tutorial mostly just the removal part of the panels. This is only the 2nd video I made so not that good. The wire adapter that in the reviews said it works are not the correct adapters.
    100 bucks in material
    20 for adapter
    80 for speaker

Thank you so much. Blew out my speaker earlier this week and just ordered the ones in the description. Thanks again for putting the links.

Thank you, I think the adapter is much better than installing the speaker metal to metal, the adapter kind of I think reduces vibration to move into the car frame.

the easiest way is to harvest the old connector and just splice its wires to the wires on your new speaker. that way you dont have to fuss with solder or brittle plastic connectors

Yeah I just bought the speakers and adapter kit in the description. I will not be soldering anything. I do have a soldering iron just in case.

Do not remove your weather stripping. It’s not needed. Use a trim tool to pop those panels.

Does anyone know if they sell the actual adapter that goes to the speakers? I've been looking all over online and can't find the correct one. I did strip the wires and just attached them to the speaker that way but I would rather have the actual harness so the connection to the speaker is better.

How are these speakers holding up? I'm debating on getting these or the newer GX963 pair for this very vehicle.

Are you talking about the wiring? I just took the old wiring off and putting on the new speaker. I think I unsolder the old one.

Was thinking to do it. But this is ridiculous. My 200o Corolla that was so much easier. Progress I guess. One of my speakers is busted. Not worth fixing on a 14 year old Corrolla. Just cut it out. Thx for the video though.
