- Like clockwork, you can count on seeing posts on social media of people on the side of the road with trailer issues every year leading up to popular events like King of the Hammers and Easter Jeep Safari. Harry Wagner has been fortunate enough to avoid that situation (knock on wood deck) for the 15 years that he has owed this 18-foot Big Tex trailer. It isn’t luck though, there have been a lot of modifications and maintenance during that time to ensure that the car hauler gets my vehicles safely to his destination. Those include, by aren’t limited to, custom tie down points, quality straps, covering the tires when not in use, TPMS sensors, and adding a winch to the front of the trailer.
All of that, and the same regularly maintenance that all of Harry’s vehicles benefit from. In this video Harry sits down with his longtime friend Merl, who has seen and done it all over the span of his long career working on trailers. Merl shares stories from the craziest things he has seen, and the most common issues and mistakes trailer owners make. I also jack up the trailer and check the wiggle on each tire. If there is any then I tighten the bearing preload. On another note I had a shake for a while and it turned out to be 3 bent wheels. Trailers take a lot of abuse and require a lot of maintenance.

Nice lj jeep wrangler unlimited rubicon i own a 05 built out sense i built my lj out my weight now is around 5800 thats 1200 over gross even with a sprintex supercharger i get terrible fuel mileage so im buying a trailer to tow it to my offroad fun im looking at a diamond c tilt 22 feet 16ply dual tires 14k load rating , super lube lipper brakes axles self adjusted electric brakes on both axles reason for this trailer is big enough to haul my 170 Mercedes Benz sprinter van the van 22 feet long i live in texas and diamond c in texas this will be the only trailer i will ever buy for me the tilt is what i love the most 😊
Could you go over the location of the D rings on the trailer. I just picked up a car trailer and need to have some welded on but I want to put them in the correct location.
I like them on the deck as far out to the corners as you can get them.

I got me a car hauling trailer tilt I gave 7,500 for it and I've already got to take it in for warranty work they haven't called me to schedule it yet so I may have to make a phone call to them for the last one of the bearing covers on the driver side on the back axle that bearing Buddy or whatever you want to call them license plate light broke loose while I was going down the highway on a rough highway within the first month I'm using the hall pickup trucks for truck pulls and use it to go get other vehicles to haul for people as a money-making that's why I got this trailer big enough for my one ton dually 3500 and that's a long wheelbase it's got four-door cab and the 8-ft bed and Dooley's on it with a diesel engine and hold it like it ain't even there even with a vehicle

It is called a Tauler Jack, they are available from Brennan’s Garage in a weld together kit.
