Great reaction! One reason these concerts are more personal than those of today is the lack of cell phones. Notice the girl early in the video taking a picture with her camera. She clicks the photo then winds the film to the next picture. Now that's old school! Concerts back then were about seeing the artist, listening to them singing your favorite song, but mostly taking in the excitement and energy of the experience. You reveled in the moment. Concerts today are all about the phones. Thousands of phones in the audience trying to record the experience. It's hard to get into the vibe if you're concerned about camera angles and fuzzy shots. But that's evolution. I remember concerts from the 70's to the 90's and the vibe changed completely with the advent of cell phones. I remember when this song came out. Everyone knew it was an instant hit. I love songs that build and you can feel from the beginning intro the excitement building. The chorus hits you hard and makes you scream the lyrics! The song continues and right when you think the building of the song can not get any bigger there is a key change for the ending and the build is jaw dropping! We played this song in pep band and for first trumpet they were the highest notes I have ever tried to hit!
I remember having his 1987 hairstyle me and my girlfriend had the same hairstyle lol I was the front man for my band I did a lot of his songs but never as good as they did so awesome
You're spot on Dani. Music has definitely changed. Why are the biggest box office concerts "oldies"? Because they were electric, nouvoux, cutting edge, memorable. Words and music. That's why we miss them and go back over and over!
People did say I could work a crowd but I didn't think so but I sure tried it is the biggest high in the world when the fans are singing back to you it's great I really miss it

Dani, so cool to see you rocking out with some BonJovi, girl. You are right! You don't see star power of this level anymore. My younger days as a concert goer were a COMPLETE entertainment EXPERIENCE! From Van Halen to Pat Benatar to the J Geils Band. The last few decades I have attended some big Country music concerts. They were also all about entertainment. The Kenny Chesney concert I attended in Nashville was AWESOME! So many country stars were there. The concert lasted 8 hours! 4pm-12pm midnight! I could talk about that night for a long time. Maybe some other time. But my favorite, has to be George Strait's "The Cowboy Rides Away" tour concert. King George is aptly named! His show is all about the MUSIC! Which I thoroughly enjoyed. No explosions. No jumping around on stage. It's all about the performers and their music! Would love to see more concerts done like that! I've watched many of your reactions (which I enjoy), but I've never commented. I had to comment on this one, though, because I was at that concert. I was in the Army stationed in England from '93 to '96. It was an amazing concert that included Bon Jovi and Van Halen.

hi dani awesome video reaction i have a question for you was this live concert of bon jovi pre covid or post covid , if it was pre covid then people went to movies concerts anywhere and basically had no reason to worry about . but when pandemic hit , places began to look like ghost towns, now in 2022 people are getting back to normal but doing it one step at a time . am i right would like to know your thoughts and others as well. but awesome reaction bon jovi rocks

Dani said they don't have those kind of level of energy and reactions like they do now.and she is exactly right. Since the pandemic in 2020. Things are still getting back to normal but slowly but surely lol a Elvis song but the fact is very true people are still being careful and should be until the covid pandemic is gone and cured forever.
Not all concerts are created equally. There are bands that are legendary and put on a good show but maybe the crowd just isn't into it. I've been to 5 Bon Jovi concerts now. The one's from their 2017 tour were with crowds that weren't super into it. When I saw Bon Jovi again in Nashville earlier this year it was an entirely different experience. I'm not gonna lie, Jon's voice was in bad shape but the way he started the show made up for it. He started in the crowd and opened the show with Livin On A Prayer, which they haven't used as an opener in a decade and he got the audience super into the show. His voice was off but he had a good energy for the night and the band was on point. That on top of the good crowd made for an unforgettable night, with a rare second encore as well. That sort of star power you mentioned in the your reaction is rare, but when someone has it they hold onto it for life and make use of it whenever they REALLY want too.
